200,000 Miles & more!

I have worked on numerous highway construction details with Gas Companies, Electric Companies, & for Construction Companies, all of whom had showed me F-150's & F-250's gas motors with well over 200,000mi that were still running strong, even after the abuse that they had taken from commercial use.......needless to say, I was quite impressed.......

Me tooo!

2000 F150 white Supercab with 146,850 and going. Small prob with IAC valve - just bought the new one. Idles low at start and then kicks in later. A light rap on the IAC sets it straight so were gonna chuck the thing.

My 2001 is flirting with 100k, I'll probably hit it next week! Still looks and runs like a new one!

Had to chime it...I just today purchased the 95LX no frills company work truck from my employer with 175,000+ on the clock. Runs great. The 5.0 roller motor has a great reputation for 200k plus if looked after.

The first time I replied to this thread was Dec 24,2002. Since then my truck hasn't been putting on miles as fast. It currently sets at 198,000. It only uses a half of quart of oil per 3000 miles(4.6l). It still drives nice and gets decent mileage if I keep my foot out of it. Orignal transmission, with a bunch of filter changes, and synthetic oil everwhere. Going to get to 250000 mechanically. Body starting to show wear. It sees a lot of gravel roads.
