Who is in the 100,000 mile club?

I was looking down at the odometer this morning and I noticed I will turn over 130,000 miles by the New Year and my truck runs great.
I have read a lot of posts about how bad these trucks are and was just wondering how many of us are in the 100,000 miles club (160,900 kilometers for those outside the U.S.).
It is generally accepted that 100,000 miles is a measure of a good vehicle. My truck idles steady at 600 rpm and continues to pull hard.

My 97 will hit 156,000 miles this week. Still no work at all on the powertrain other than regular fluid changes and a spark plug and wire change at 112,000 miles. No leaks and it doesn't consume any oil either (even still running 5w30!). Fit and finish wise, it still is incedibly tight and doesn't have any rattles or buzzing noises, unlike products from GM, which seem to have inummerable rattles by the time they reach 20,000 miles. I still enjoy getting behind the wheel of the '97, thats for sure!

I'm not there yet, only at 80K on my 98. I thought I drove alot, but you guys got me there. Almost twice as many miles and only a year older! Anyways, Congrats on sucessfully passing that 100K markwith little to no trouble. Hope to join ya next year.

6000 rpm, huh?

I've hit 126,000 on my 97, still runs like a champ.

I'll change that to 600, thanks.....:(
Hell I don't think it has seen 6000:eek:

I hope your truck hasn't hit 6000 RPM's at idle, that would be slightly high if you ask me:devil:

I guess I'm in the club twice. My truck has almost 236,000 miles on it. It need new bearings in the diff and u-joints at 200,000 and alternator bearings at 160,000. Other than that, it is the way Ford put it together:cool: It uses a little oil and has PS when cold, but it does squeek and rattle less than my brothers 99 GMC.

I should be joining (knock on wood) sometime next year, as I have about 89,000 miles on my Navigator. I don't know if I could ever make it to 235,000 miles, as I have my eye on the new Aviator in about a year.:beers:

100,000 mile club

My 1999 F-150 ext cab, 5.4 Triton just rolled 126,000 and still as strong as the day I bought it.

175,000K which is about 110,000 miles. It was an abused truck before I got it (price was right) and now with some repairs on the rear diff. some body work, fluid changes, u joints, steering parts. drive shaft balance with hose clamps, it runs and drives great with no rattles or squeeks.
Oh yeah my horns quit and I need new ones any suggestions for some loud ones so I can let people know how I feel about their driving when they cut me off which seems to be happening on a regular basis lately. Maybe thats why my horns quit.

I've only got 3000 on my truck, but wanted to thank you guys for this thread anyway! With all the other threads about leaking, breaking, blowing this and that, I was starting to feel a bit sad about my decision to go Ford.
Im a oil change freak so I should make it into the club someday! :)

124000 on my 98. Some serious pinging going uphill, which I need to work on. All new fluids just to make sure she's ok. Right side door rattles like crazy. Trying to figure out how to fix it (a loud rattle like the third door is loose). It starts on the first crank and idles totally smooth. I want a 4x4, but have no reason to get rid of this one. It still looks new from 20 feet away! (Love the True Blue color).

BTW: What does an out of balance driveshaft sound like? I've been balancing tires like crazy to get rid of a "woomwoomwoom" sound. I only hear it under power and going down a smooth road.
