190,000 and still going strong

i have a 86 F-150 and it has i think 193,000 but not for sure i know it is above 190,000. i have only had it 6 months and the only thing that has happened to it since i have had it is my power steering belt broke on it and i think my water pump is going out. but it runs great i just moved from south carolina to ohio and i pulled a 6x12 uhaul trailor behind completely load down from bottom to top with out a bit of trouble.........

Ford Family

Grandpa has a 298,779 miles (1998 F150 Lariat 4.6Liter)
Dad has a 7,458 miles ( 2004 F150 FX4 off road 5.4Liter )
I have 12,500 miles ( 2001 F150 FX4 off road 5.4 Liter)
and i also have a Ford Ranger 238,000 (1988 Ranger 4x2 2.0L)

we have never had any major problems, my grandpas F150 with 298,000 miles has a same engine sound as mine ( both 600 RPM on idle) ohh yeah i am going to say at least 250,000 of those miles from grandpas F150 were pulling a big 22' trailer.
Triton is a excellent engine!

My 1990 F-150 Custom has 180000+ miles on it. Still runs great. Has the 4.9 Liter Inline 6, which is quite possibly the most dependable engine ever built, with a 5-speed. We used to have a 1990 E-250, had 250000 on it when we sold it, never ate a drop of oil. Its amazing how many people have Fords with this high mileage compared to Chevy's and Dodges. I guess that why you see a ton of old Fords on the road, and you find all the old Dodges and Chevy's in the junkyard.

Ive got 103,700 on my NASCAR edition 98 F-150 4.6 5 speed, she runs drives perfect, smooth as silk and tight as a drum. Ive still got to change out the iac valve which makes "the noise" in the colder wheather but that takes all of 5 minutes.
Its been a great truck.

my uncle had a expedition traded it in ran perfect has 218,000 miles on it and it was a 5.4 that had FIPK, granatelli maf, TBS, and hypertech programmer. a month after it was bought. only thing he had replaced at about 130K was the plugs coils and belt. and tires .everything else was flawless.

Have about 95600 on my 98 Expy 5.4, still running strong, no leaks and only thing so far that I've replaced just for tune up sake are the plugs, coils, and O2 sensors......I love this truck...

To Ford

First post--joining the 100,000 mile club

This is my first post.

I have a 1997 F-150 XLT Standard Cab Long Bed. 106,000 miles, but I just bought it. 5.4L Triton; aftermarket 1 into 2 exhaust.

Seems to run strong. There's nothing really wrong with it that I can tell.

Any suggestions on what I should do for preventative maintenance? I have checked the brakes, alignment/balance, and as I mention above it runs strong. I assume that the previous owner did a reasonable job at maintenance based on the vehicle's condition but I am willing to have a go at whatever maintenance is now required.

I will also report that where I live it is GM country. I see probably 80% GM trucks with a few rice burners. I think Ford accounts for about 10% of trucks I see.

110,000 miles

My 1999 4X4 XLT just turned 110,000 not too long ago and all problems I encountered are direct result from overzealous off roading. The truck always gets me home no matter if I have to use the front wheels to drive with or not. This is one truck that will never be sold.

How about the 200,000 mile club?

My '97 F-150 is still amazing me. I have just turned 214,000 and couldn't be more pleased.
