My '98 4x4 with a 4.6, 5 speed has 158,000 miles and it runs and drive GREAT! The only thing it needs is a u-joint(not badly, just squeaks a lil) and an idler arm!

well i figured i would throw mine out there... i have a 1997 F-150 with a 4.6LW, 4R70W trans and 189,000 and never been touched... i had to change two sets of lower ball joints and one upper set, other than that the truck has given me no problems... i also have a 2005 Mustang GT that is in the process of becoming a drag car... my F-150 is my Daily Driver and was also my first vehicle... love my truck... i bought it from my uncle with 16,000 miles on it at 15 years old and i have had it ever sence...

Brakes, ball joints, shocks and tires have all been done.

You all are in the 100,000 mile club try the 200,000 mile club!!! my 93 f-150 2wd 5.0 302 v8 is at 224,000 miles! the only issue is ever since about a year after my dad bought it new he hit a snow drift and ever since the Idle is really rough and he had to bump the idle wayyy up just to keep running and it wont stay running if you stop at a stopsign with the heater and lights on :/ otherwise still hauls!

115000 on my '99 F150 4x4 XLT EXT Cab. I've owned this truck about a year and 1/2. The only issue is one blown out spark plug which I fixed by buying a toolset that allowed me to do the work in truck. I grew up in the Ford business and I own a Frod cause I know how tough these trucks really are from first hand experience. Wouldn't own anything else.

About to hit 112,000 miles. So far I have spent about 200 bucks on non-maintenance stuff. Drives and shifts like it did on day 1! Where'd the 200 bucks go? A rear brake caliper I think I probably broke myself while doing a brake job, and a fuel pump driver module.
