Should be able to. One probably didn't get programmed. Shouldn't be no biggie.

June 8th, 2014: Lets do a bit of an update here!

Well some may have read in some of my random webpage postings here that I want to be finished with this truck to move up to a 2011+ 5.0L truck while mine is still worth more than $15,000. I have decided to quit big modifications ( at least my version of big ) and stick to resale/trade in preparation. To honor my truck for being a fun project, good looking truck, more money into mods than repairs, and an all around good truck I made it a tribute banner in photoshop. Check it out.

I have modifications to replace, and minor repairs to make.

Repairs currently needed:

1: Audiophile 6 disk radio CD changer inoperable.
I get the randon spinning/searching, and get "CD Error" msg. Will be $150 + shipping to repair shipping it to these folks.

2: OEM Remote start inoperable. This is annoying to me as I love to remote start it to hear it start up. It runs through the entire sequence, I get the 2nd horn chirp, and at this point it is turning the starter over, but nothing happens. I haven't re-trained it yet due to lazy/forgetfulness but I am going to do this before taking it to the dealership.

3: Passenger side exhaust manifold leak/ This is a biggie. It is now loud, embarrassing, and it starts to smell like exhaust when idling with the air on. Dangerous and unacceptable. I have a Dorman replacement and stainless stud kit to replace with. Should be a set price of about $500 at the dealership.

Those are the downfalls to my truck currently, which I am going to repair every one of them for full value, and honesty for resale.

Mods coming off.

I figure I will post this as to remind my own self, and to display what will be up for grabs eventually. So what I will be taking off. I will however, if privately sold, will be offering all modifications to next owner for the prices I will have for these items.

1. OEM Ford Harley Davidson edition Grill. Bought it new from Tasca Parts in Mar 2012 for $578 shipped. No way am I letting this go for free on a trade in/resale. I bought an FX4 style grill which is my current project, and will be paint matching it. I will have a primed grill shell detached with it ready to go for the buyers convenience.

2. OEM Ford Harley Davidson edition valance. Bought used from Fine_style150. Will put OEM valance and tow hooks back on.

3. Cravenspeed shorty antenna. Only $20 some bucks, but I want it on my next one damn it . If it does not fit, I will just resell it cheap on here.

4. Volant Powercore CAI. Bought it used for a good deal, will sell for a bit cheaper than I bought it for. Cleaned the stock intake all up and its ready to go in.

5. Power Hungry Performance Gryphon. We all know what this is an does. I have had this in both my F-150s since 2009! Great programmer.

6. XD Monster wheels w/ Nitto Trail Grapplers. No way am I letting this setup go for no value. I intend to keep these however for the next one, but if I sell privately and have a lot of money for mods on the next one, I may buy an actual suspension lift ( Ranch 4", possibly McGaudys 6.5" ) and get an entirely new package so I will sell this locally. I have the OEM Lariat chrome pkg wheels to replace, but they need updated tires. Looking for a used set of nice A/Ts to keep the good look.

7. Smoked spyder LED taillights. Will be pulling these for the OEM ones.

8. Some Lighting parts. I'll include the random stuff here. My interior LEDs, my smoked 3rd brake light & cargo LEDs, my 6000k HID fog lamps.

I can't think of anything else. I think that is it. Paint matched items will stay on including front headlamps, exhaust stays on it ( welded ), Leer 700 lid stays with it as I bought it with it, I only put a Bedrug Bedliner in which I bought for $120 off Craigslist so I will leave that in.

So now, I'll keep updating with my progress here.

Last week I ordered a replacement FX4/STX grill for $38 + ship off Rock Auto. I ordered this one to be cheap and have the will to sand and paint myself. I did not expect it to be so involved however, lots of grooves and angles! I sanded it down with 100 grit the other night and just last night I did it again with 400 grit. I expect to be shooting some primer today.

As it sits with the 400 grit sanding.

And Darren,

Lemme know how much you want for the interior LEDs....been meaning to do it for a while, but I would rather give my money to someone here if possible.

Will do, but they aren't too overpriced to buy. About $21 plus ship. I ordered them from RetroSolution.com actually, because they were cheap. They do an alright job, about as bright as OEM bulbs. However the richer cleaner color is much more pleasant. But I still would prefer 5000k white. Here are the map light bulbs and here is the festoon dome.

Thanks for the links and heads up, Darren! I'll definitely look into that when I get paid on Friday.

Hopefully my list there doesn't cause a dibs war, just a thought out list of what to look back at. I'll admit, someone claimed a dib on the valance but we'll have to see what happens as if I sell privately, they will have a shot at all the parts. Might not have anything at all to sell except stock replacement stuff .

You know it! You already heard of the possibility I had

No problem. Again if I could rate those LEDs to the factory bulbs, factory being 100%, these would be 95%. The fact of my interior being black, and leather, causing it to be darker and more reflective on surface, makes it harder to light up.

Hopefully everything works out good for you. Sad to see it come to an end. It has been a pretty big influence to mine. Great looking truck, can't wait to see what the next one looks like.
