Haven't done it yet, been telling myself $50 for something I'm only going to use a couple times during commutes isn't worth it. I need to just order it . I remember your instructions on page2 and a fellow on here just did one with pics in a tan Lariat interior, definitely gotta do it!

I just looked it up on Tasca, they are charging $49.03 for it right now. Considering how much you've spent on this truck already, what's 50 bucks. On my new truck I have the 402A package and it has everything leather inside but the console lid. I did some digging and sure enough, the lariats have the leather lid, just like the 04-08's did but the 09+ leather lids are 260 bucks. OUCH!

Hey Darren you do know that tasca offers a 5% discount for forum members right? Use code "F150forum" The discount only applies to the order itself, not the shipping.

They washed it and marred/swirled the paint, it needed a couple light bulbs and theyignored my request for a spark plug change as part of sale.

I bought my previous 2004 extended cab from Matthews in 2008, great service from them but I never went back for repairs or oil changes since they didn't use Motor craft.
Yes, En-En is awesome. No, I wasn't looking for brand new (could never afford that)...you read my post in the intros...that's why I was looking. And hopefully I won't have to look for another truck for a long time. Sorry you had bad service at Cole, glad I didn't buy from them. I got mine at Ferrario in Horseheads. I've always had great service there for years. I bought my '02 Mustang GT there back in '06. Great people.

Question, I've read a couple other things on here about running only Motorcraft oil in the 5.4's, so it's true? A different brand of the same weight wouldn't be ok, what's the difference?

There you go, thats what I love about forums, mod encouragement

I remember reading a post you made about that. What a mark up! '04/'08 is maybe $60 for the Lariat leather lid? Maybe you can find one from a salvaged Lariat for cheap.

I did not know of the 5% discount, if its been valid for years I wish I knew about it when I dropped $600 for the OEM Harley grill, thanks for the heads up!

Motorcraft synthetic blend 5w20 is a good low priced oil specifically designed for the modular block engines. Can't go wrong. Can go up to 6,000 mile interval changes. The 5w20 weight matters in terms of keeping cam phasers happy, as does using a Motorcraft FL-820S oil filter. Napa oil filters and other units can't compare to the low price of the Motorcraft oil filter and does an excellent filtering job.

I can't fully answer your question on different oil companies with the same weight of 5w20 being equal because I honestly do not know the facts. I know that Pennzoil is not good for a modular engine the cam phasers will start to sound 'click-clicky' which will be a audible nuisance ( in other terms, a Diesel sounding 5.4L ), and that Amsoil, Mobil 1, and motorcraft are perfectly safe. Amsoil full synthetic is good oil, but is no better for a 3v 5.4L than the Motorcraft syn-blend is, but is twice the cost of Motorcraft. I personally suggest sticking with using 7qts of Motorcraft 5w20 syn blend and a Motorcraft FL-820S oil filter. Pinch over $20 at Walmart.

Link did not work, but that price sounds better than $260. I would be scratching my chin in debate for a little bit. Is that $160 including shipping fees?

Sounds pretty decent. Maybe give a few near by salvage yards a call and see what they have. Though with a brand new '13 I'm not sure if you want to put a used part in your nice brand new truck, either way if the numbers agree with you I would do it. Buy that and I'll buy the LT shift handle for mine, deal? . Buying the Harley valance from fine_style first, but that will be next on the list for my rigg.

Been a little while. A little has changed I guess I can say. I have put about a total of 400 some miles since December. Still at 121k at least.

A few weeks ago I bought a Shaker 500 radio from a member but the antenna ended up not agreeing with me. The wire inside it appeared broken so I just swapped the chrome buttons onto my factory audiophile radio. I found a climate panel from a wrecked 2008 decently cheap and have that on the way also. I like this little OEM modification. Rare to see added on a 2007-, and looks nice for me.

Just bought a Volant CAI cheap from a member on F150 Forum. All I needed was to make a replacement crankcase breather hose. 17" long piece of hose with 1/2" ID was all I needed. Didn't create much noise either, and i'm happy with the cleaner look. Waiting for PHP to send me my new custom file as we speak.

My engine bay is very filthy also, please excuse it .

Some may have read my gripes about the Rancho Quiklifts not giving my the full 2.5" lift. I also feel the coil springs must be softer than OEM 4wd as there is so much flex allowed. Here is where the 295/60-20 Trail Grapplers rub when the spring flexes.

Towards the cabin, hits the molded mud guard and some fender liner.

And the edge of the valance.

The valance issue with rubbing was the worst contact point. However that is now no longer an issue as I bought finestyle150's Harley Davidson edition valance when he changed back to regular valance for tow hooks ( sent him my tow hooks too! ) and he had already trimmed it. I just had to have it repainted in my paint code UA. I love the look, much cleaner and bigger looking up front.

I installed it the first night I had off PM shift at work. Took the bumper off to make it easier and to re-align it anyway. Re-assembled in the dark, I just couldn't wait any longer

Some poor quality photos. Dirty phone camera, dirty springtime truck, and a clean-ish new valance freshly waxed.

That is about it for now. Waiting on the re-calibrated tune, and the chrome auto A/C panel. Going to plan to replace my passenger side wheel bearing later on as preventative maintenance. Spark plugs and transmission fluids will be soon enough also. Probably in May when I am guaranteed I won't need 4wd for awhile. Aside of the low grade misfire from the old plugs, the other issues I have at the moment is a TPMS light came on, CD changer quit working, and my remote start no longer starts. Going to plan a trip to the dealer once I have a little more side money.

That's it!

I seen that, thought of a passenger side kick panel as mine was damaged by an ex-girlfriend. If he had a black leather shifter that would be excellent lol! I still need to buy one of those.

I get a light after 10/20 minutes driving or so, similar to before. Maybe one didn't get programmed properly. I have 43psi all around so it has to have plenty of air.
