Quick update on the old truck. My bud that bought it changed the leaking exhaust manifold out, zero broken studs and the base of the manifold had a huge crack. Weeks after he did the spark plugs. The first one came out fine and he was relieved. The next 7 all broke . So he had a long night on that one. But changed them all out, and did a few coil packs afterwards. Then he kept getting CELs for PO420, the ever popular cat inefficiency code. He cut the cats out and straight piped them, and re-installed them. Sounds pretty vicious for a 5.4L, clean with the Magnaflow muffler in place, but at 3000rpm+ it rasps.

Other than smoking in it and cleaning it, he's taking care of it.
