Thanks!

That's awesome, I do love the stance with them. The ability to adjust your offset is pretty nice.

A few people have asked, I forget who is in first place as I have it on a flash drive with truck info. I also bought an FX4 grill and paint matched it myself as a project so i'm good to go with that.

Thanks for the offer though!

My DD car decided to puke it's water pump and lost all coolant, so i'm driving the truck daily as of now. I did a bulk order on Rock Auto for my DD, picked up an IWE for the truck as it needed a front right one. I changed it out today following FordTechMakuloco's video on YouTube. Excellent reference video. All of his videos are, he is detailed, and clear. I did this all with hand tools. It didn't take me all day, but I took my time and got it done in an hour.

I couldn't believe what I pulled out. How do these look?

Pretty much the same, just one is a little dirty, right?

How about from a lower angle.

The gear ring separated from the actuator itself. I haven't seen this one yet, but glad I found it. I took it for a test drive after the repair, and was completely tickled that fixing this resolved my 4wd snapping issue, steering wheel shake at higher speed, and clump sound on inclined angles. Glad I got this out of the way.

Time for an alignment. I did inner/outer tie rods spring 2015 and never had the alignment re-done, but i've only put 1500 miles on the truck since. Everything I want updated suspension related has been completed.

I'm always talking about trading it in for a newer one, but more and more stuff seems to stop that. My mother has come down with colon cancer and it's getting bad. So i'm helping her with as much as I can plus some medical co-pays. Besides that, I have a ATV loan since I bought a 2011 Polaris Sportsman 850 Touring last October. So the black knight shall remain in my garage a bit longer.

Due to this, I decided to splurge a little on it in a visual refresher guiltily way. I had retrosolutions 6000k plug & play HIDs in my fogs, aimed down but still glaring plug & play HIDs. The passenger one hasn't worked in a year. I have wanted Mortimoto XB LED fog lamps for awhile, finally gave in and bought a set. They look great, and the output is fantastic. Direct swap and plug & play. Only fabrication was the L bracket on the drivers side. Easy and quick. Have a look!

Out with the old RetroSolutions kit. Been in the truck since 2012.

The photos I take look like standard 4300k color temp. But they are the claimed 5500k temp with a slight blue/purple appearance.

I like it, its different but beautifully clean. I am sure oncoming traffic will appreciate the no-flare. I get my distant output, clean cut-off, and not glaring others. Win!

Been a little while!

Well from my last post my mother having colon cancer, she passed away April 7th, 2016 at 3:09pm. I rushed trying to make it to be with her and the family but unfortunately I was 10 minutes late. Cried my eyes out, but perhaps it was for the better. I know she didn't want me seeing her that way, but I was there for her for the whole week after work. Sure miss her, but no more pain at least. I miss taking her out for dinner in the truck.

I bought a new daily driver to replace my current 03 Cavalier last July, a 05 Cobalt SS. Having the Trans Am WS6 with the LS1 has me used to speed, and the daily being p!ss slow had me fed up . I bought it from a fellow in Erie P.A. and towed it home. Truck did good with it on the haul home!

Thank you very much, and thank you for your condolences. I'm now 26 and parentless, kinda a bummer when I think too deep into it. I have a older friend almost 50 and still has very active parents in their 70s, so active they participate in 5k marathon stuff .

I know what your going through. I lost my Mom when I was 12, they brought her back on life support, then she went for a routine surgery when I was 16, she died. Sad to hear about both of your parents, I know the feeling your talking about dude. That's awesome about your friends parents.

Well I have been hard after a new truck these past few weeks. I want specifically, a 2013/2014 FX4 5.0L Supercrew 6'5 blue flame truck. Fully loaded as can be. There are two blue FX4s I had set to act on within budget. So last week I began de-modifying my truck. I put the OE taillamps, 3rd brake light, filament light bulbs throughout, volant intake, pulled the Harley grill and valance, installed the painted FX4 type grill I painted 2 years ago. Got the BFG tires I bought also 2 years ago mounted to the OE wheels. Unloaded my custom tune file and set it back to stock.

Here it is now.

Here is a little innocent tire shreading I did before de-modding the accessories and getting the BFG tires mounted.

Meanwhile, a local place offered me $9,000 for my truck as is. A place I called up asking for a truck told me $8,500 over the phone, NadaGuide having it at $12,200 rough trade had me disappointed in those prices.

I was set to make a move on one of the used 2013 FX4 truck's last Friday evening located in Ohio, $29k. The dealer apparently didn't accept 'holding fee/deposits' So it was first come first serve. I got on the road with the girlfriend and 40 miles into the trip the sales guy calls me back and tells me they sold it.... So oh well. Angered they wouldn't take a deposit I am out a non-refundable $120 hotel room I looked at some local dealerships in the area we were in and drove a black 5.0L Supercrew 5'5 for the joy of it.

Then, my luck picked up. A friend of mine offered me $10,000 knowing what is wrong with the truck ( possible plugs, exhaust manifold ). I agreed and will include him the replacement manifold and the spark plugs, lisle tool, and offered to help change them out. So he should be picking it up this week. Now with that, I called up the place that had the other truck I want and they verified someone was struggling to finance for it but could not. They looked into it and then called me back saying it was available. I explained I am in PA and they are willing to work with me, I put a deposit down on it and just need to have my credit union re-write the loan I had for the other truck for this one.

With the extra thousand dollars I can comfortably afford the nicer $31k truck, I should be driving up to pick it up this Friday! Very very happy!

2013 FX4, supercrew, 6'5, sprayed liner, 20"s, luxury pkg, 5.0L, 42k miles.
