Yeah we go to the Jambo every yr. To bad I sit with a bunch of Chevy turds that run there mouth all day, They know id beat them all down pretty quick and badly so they know not to run there mouths to much. This yr there will be more Fords in our area than most. I will have my truck, my buddy will have his 06 King Ranch 6.go and his wife just got a nice azz 12 ecoboost screw that he will be taking also. I think he might be taking his highboy also, not really sure yet. I asked a few of my friends about the step bars, they all claim they have the 5"??? I will keep an eye out though if I come across some. Do you guys set up tents at the jambo? I cant wait, I always get excited for that time of the yr.

Took the front left wheel bearing apart last night. Easy stuff, can't believe how much the dealer charges for the Motor craft part and labor, I would be mad as hell if I paid them for this. Moog wheel bearing should be at my door today after work.

No I never stayed over, last summer was my first time ever going there. Had a blast though. Bought a set of 35x12.5/20 Toyo M/Ts for $1,480 ( deal Jack Williams tire had ). Found out after measurements they wouldn't fit so I traded them straight up a month later for 295/60-20 Trail Grappler ( $1,700 avg price, killer deal! ). I have friends that stay over for events though. I'll make it a yearly tradition from now on.

Installed my Moog wheel bearing, all went well. Apparently the tires rub a little more than expected. Had g/f pull it in at angles and it hits the corner of the mud guards, and a fair portion of the inner wheel well. Only at full lock turns, but still enough to be annoying in parking lots. The Ranchos are looking to be at fault. Everyone else seems to be posting poor lift height from the quicklifts. I have about 2" lift on the nose with my 2.5" level. Dbhost's has reported the worst droop, barely a 2" level for him now. I think I might want to swap to my original 4wd springs, but I would prefer new OEM springs over ones with 100k on them. I guess we'll see how bored I get come warmer weather. Maybe Rancho should just make better springs, a 4wd version and a 2wd version instead of claiming both 2/4wd can use the same part #. Shouldn't have to modify a pricey strut/spring combo to get advertised lift.

Stock springs/bilstein or rancho replacement strut/ 2.5" AS level. That my friend will solve the issues. Or at least that is how I would do away with the QL droop.

I put rancho quicklifts on my 05 fx4 before I traded it, and got a tad over 2" of lift, wasn't impressed with the ride either couldn't find a setting I liked (changed the **** 1 through 9). Previous setup was stock shock with AS 2.5 spacer and I think it road better even with 80,000 miles on them. By the way sharp looking truck man, very clean.

Pretty sad but I believe it too. If it drops to about a 1.5" level from droop down, I may consider a 1" level spacer. Not really sure I want to put a .5" level in at the current time but I really feel like OEM 4wd springs.

Pretty crazy that they rode better. Thanks for the kind word!

Odd question I have for you. Could you give me a measurement from ground to top of cab? I would like to go with a slightly larger tire next time (possibly sooner than later), but I parked under a car port that I am pretty close to rubbing already.

Sure thing! Just went & did it and got some other measurements for the hell of it.

From the tallest part of my cab which is right ontop of the 3rd brake light, its 77.5"s from my concrete garage floor.

Tires measure out to be 33 3/4" tall with the truck's weight, 43psi inflation, 12 1/4" wide.

My distance from the ground to top middle of fender flare with a 5' leveling bar is 40" on the left, 40" and 1mm on the right oddly, and the rear is 40.5"s both sides.

Nice ride Darren! I'm new to this site... I see you're from Mansfield, I'm just a short distance from you in Painted Post, NY. I was just at Cole & Burd and Matthews Motors a few weeks ago making my truck shopping rounds.

Thank you sir! They are probably going to wonder what the hell I'm doing when I am measuring the ground to the top of the car port.

Awesome another local! Been up to painted post quite a bit. Love the En-en's chinese buffet up there. Used to browse the ChilsonWilcox Dodge dealer for kicks when passing threw. Looking for a brand new truck? I never bought a new truck before, but I bought my current truck from the Cole & Burd Chevrolet dealer down the road and was not satisfied with then service. They washed it and marred/swirled the paint, it needed a couple light bulbs and theyignored my request for a spark plug change as part of sale.

I bought my previous 2004 extended cab from Matthews in 2008, great service from them but I never went back for repairs or oil changes since they didn't use Motor craft.

Hey Darren, did you ever get around to swapping in an LT shifter handle? I know you were interested way back when you first got the 07.
