Any plans for black rear bumper or trading the chrome steps for black? Those are the only eyesores now. Looks good.

Its been awhile since I have updated in here!

Well, I got a couple of things going on here. I ordered a smoked 3rd brake light smoked and LED. Same one I had on my old truck ( I should have kept it! ). Also bought a pair of Cool White 18 LED bulbs for the cargos from Superbrightleds.com. V-LEDs is outrageous for a pair of #921 bulbs. They want about $46 or so for one pair! I paid $43 for the 3rd brake, and $26 for the two cargo bulbs. Great investment huh! .

I bought Lakemarykid's old OEM mirrors a month ago so I could have a set to run when I get my OEMs paint matched. Thanks again!

A couple of weeks ago I bought a used Autospring 2.5" level kit for a heck of a deal, going to try to install myself with an alignment to follow up. Should make due until I decide to get Rancho shocks all around.

And just yesterday I bought a used painted rear bumper off an '06/'08 FX4. It is scratched up a bit but I planned to repaint anyways. I got it for $235 off eBay. Now as long as it arrives un-dented, we are all good!

I am considering of pulling my Llumar 15% front door tint and applying Llumar 5% also. I know i'm asking for it a bit but I just wish it was a hint darker!

Stay tuned, September should be a good modding month.

Glad to see you finally got your third brake light ordered

If you do end up going with the 5% I can guarantee you'll love it! I won't ever own another vehicle without it!

Thanks Brent! I was still planning to contact you about smoking it up a bit darker but I don't know just yet. It is such an insignificant enchancement ( for the price ) but those that know it is aftermarket/are able to ID it on a black truck when not lit up makes it worth while. If I decide to ask you to smoke it a little I will probably include my fog lamps just to get a light smoking also.

Good to know! I have the 5% sunstrip and love it. If the 5% up front is anything like the 15% over rear OEM smoked glass then I can definitely handle it. Do you have a few pics of inside?

I am really siked for the bumper though. If I can easily remove the pad and salvage it, I will be ready to take that, and my OEM mirrors sanded smooth in for painting and be almost fully PTM. I am tempted to taking the valance off and having that painted also. Once leveled I don't think hitting it with my jacks handle will be too big of a issue.

5% isn't much difference inside versus 20. 15 over stock is darker than 5 I believe. I have 20 over my rear windows and it matches my 5 in the front.

Well I couldn't take it anymore, I couldn't get it out of my mind. Ordered some Llumar 5% ATR tint. Will receive in a couple days and probably install when I get my mirrors PTM'd since I have the door panels out. The great part about it is it was $56 shipped, thats the two front doors and a visor strip ( for my friend's FX4 since he wants a eyebrow ).

So now, my Sept. mod list as it sits is,

- 2.5" Autospring level
- Black rear bumper repainted
- Fully PTM'd mirrors
- 5% front door tint
- Possibly some more LEDs.

I need to stop but damn the addiction is hard to resist when the deals are so good! Now I am going to go convince myself I don't need to mod any more for awhile.

Thanks Jeff! Did you ever monkey with your tint like you were once wanting to?

Looking sweet. I prefer 15% in the front versus 5%. Any darker than 15 and you can see jack when trying to backup at night. Its also a bit dangerous since you can't see pedestrians crossing streets or wildlife going around a turn, etc. I have 15% over factory all around with 15 on fronts and large 5% brow, works for me.

I'm thinking about Rancho quicklifts too. I think I'm taking off my 6" lift, I'm over it and want my truck to fit in the garage.

Both the tint and the rear bumper should be here tomorrow. Wont be able to get it all painted until the 17th of Sept though.. Kind of a bummer, painter is booked right up. The clean results will be worth while though!

That is my current tint setup also. 15% all around with the 5% visor. I am happy for the most part, but I just want the fronts a hair darker and I feel layering fresh film over old film might not bond over well, and may harm the clarity of the film. I know it is risky and if I get fined I can't complain because I chose the risk, but I feel that I can handle it and any responsibilities with it, just want the front dark enough to not show the dash much. I already put my fronts down when backing up just because I tend to be too careful with that stuff. I'm hoping for the best!

Darren, truck looks great man!

Always loved your old 04 but the new one is def. coming into its own. Keep up the modding.

For reference on your window tint, I have 2 layers of 15% on the front windows, 5% brow and 15% over the back stock 18%....comes to around 3.5% total...love it.

I stopped modding mine after black chroming my bulbar, badges and remaining items on my truck....now I get to start my new project....2013 Focus ST which is on the way from Michigan
