Dude your truck is sick!!! The Harley/off road theme is awesome! Can't wait to see it with the ptm rear bumper! Also thanks for the write up you did a while back on how to DIY Harley style tails... I did it to mine and they turned out great! Now I just have to do the headlights...

Well guys, I made a little progress this past week. I got the paint matched bumper I ordered off eBay in, installed it. There is far less damage to it than I had expected, so I am debating whether to get it repainted or not. If it won't cost too much I will probably have it repainted.

I also removed my 4x4 decals, and Leer 700 decal from my tonneau. MUCH cleaner!

I also stripped my old 15% Llumar tint on my front doors for their 5% tint. It feels very private inside now, I like it a lot so far. It is harder to see at night now obviously, but I rolled the windows down before hand anyways. Here are some interior view pics to show the dramatic difference. The exterior difference from photos is barely noticeable as the 15% was dark, but not quite dark enough to where I wanted it.

First three pictures are 15%,

And here is the 5%.

5% FTW! Glad to see the ptm rear bumper on and 4x4 decal removed! Never was a fan of the 4x4 decal, only like the fx4 ones...

Honestly that truck is pure sexiness! Love all the mods you've done to it. Fits your style very well and I know you've been wanting an updated class too. This truck looks great (as did your XLT)!

I really need to get mine tinted to 5%, help with the heat down here too!

x2, FX4 decals look great. I especially like the '09 - '11 FX4 decals a lot. It kind of bummed me that they made them more the original style, yet taller, for 2012. But they still look nice!

I was going to get sterling grey '09+ 4x4 decals, but it does look so much better bare.

I will order one soon, I know Cravenspeed has the stub for $25, I will be getting one since I have been putting it in the garage more often lately to keep it cleaner. I frankly can't wait either!

Thanks man!! Its far from done so stay tuned! I am getting the mirrors 100% PTM'd in a couple weeks hopefully, depends how good the money is, I kind of need to have my fuel sending unit replaced. My fuel gauge has gone nonfunctional in this past week. $360 fix, sucks!

Looks 10x better with a PTM bumper and no 4x4 decals! Your truck is really coming together. I really like the look of those tail lights the more and more I see pictures of them. I wonder how they would look on my truck...

Thanks man! I love these tails. They seem to be a very good quality light for a non OEM light. And the LEDs are quite bright and noticeable even as heavily smoked as they are. They are Spyder brand OEM style LED tails. Get some, and send them to Brent so he can perform his magic, and enjoy!

Truck is coming along nicely man! So glad you took the 4X4 stickers off and leave them off, LOL! Some 09+ badges and a shorter antenna would look and change the truck up greatly I say. Just cut the factory antenna down about half the size right now, do it!

Thats in the plans! I am debating on cutting it to the length of right where it hits for temporary. Now and then i'm too cheap to buy a $25 antenna

Seriously man, don't buy an antenna! Haha what I do is this.

Stick stock antenna in vise, pull of old ball on top. Notice antenna is thinner at top versus the bottom. Now go to the bench grinder and basically cut it to length. Now shape the end of the (now wider) base just to where the little ball barely will hammer on. Once the top of the newly cut base is just larger than the ball opening put the newly cut antenna in the vise, place the ball on top, and lightly tap the ball on where it presses on. Touch it up with some black paint and you're good to go! I also went the extra mile and mixed up a tick of jb weld and kind of molded the ball onto the top then painted over. It looks OEM and costed nothing but ten minutes of my time! Good luck!
