Who is in the 100,000 mile club?
Add me to the list, just rolled 100k on the way to work this morning
. Only major thing replaced were the pinion bearings at about 75k. Other than that it has been gas and oil. Might get a little springtime refresh on the truck...i.e ..fuel filter, plugs, COPs, ball joints, IAC.....
165,000 and still going strong
I have a '97 4.6 Reg Cab 2WD, that I used for an 90 mile roundtrip commute daily. Around 100,000 I switched from Motorcraft SynthBlend 5w-20 --> Mobil 1 full synth 5w-20. I actually noticed improved gas mileage from approx 17.5 mpg on the highway to 19 mpg.
The only thing I need to change is the driver's seat at this point

well I dont' have too much to say about my truck... bought her in september with 30k km on it, just rolled over to 40k km last weekend... ('03)
HOWEVER! the old ******* wagon I used to own.. 1988 buick park avenue, in the family since new... in the summer before I got my truck I pushed it over 270k km.. it's a ****ing tank. Still running strong... and put it's 3rd set of aftermarket tires on it, yes, at 270k km it's only ever had 3 tire changes. Never did any major work to it... those beasts will run forever.
and I thouht I should add my dad on here.. lol he puts on a lot more miles then me being in the oilfield... it's not unusual for him to put 60k km on in 5- months... so he could probably join the club every year... lol

How about a 95 F-150 302 with 350k, this week it stared with a
check eng light, and after it goes out, no power, drive 100 miles
a day to work.
Also a 98 302 mustang with 230k, and a bad head gasket,
(according to ford, "coolent into pistons with no air bulbbes"???).

my 1998 f-150 with v8 5.4L is about to hit 420,000 miles with the same engine the only major work done to it has been tapping new threads into one hole it blew 85 miles away from 400,000. the tap has held strong the engine is running strong the trasnsmission has never had any problems. i've only experienced minor electrical issues that were easy for my dealership to ditect. regular maintence, cleaning and respect for it has gotten it this far. good luck everybody let your ford turn back to 000000.

That has to be some type of record! Take it to FORD and maybe they wiil trade you even up for a new one. They could use your truck to show the consumer how well Ford trucks stand up to the test of time.I have only 86,XXX on my 2000.
I think it's cool just owning the truck. now if they wanted to put it in a commercial that would be awesome. I just want to take it to a mil. and then i'll see what FORD wants to offer. Thanks good and safe driving to you all
