Who is in the 100,000 mile club?
103,463 today and I just changed the original plugs. Gap is supposed to be .052-.056 The smallest gap was .068 and the biggest maxed out the gapper and kept going
. (Took me 4 hours including an oil change. I'd like to shoot the guy that designed the engine compartment. Made a big difference though. A lot more pep. Now just waiting for my Xcal II to arrive and really wake this thing up

Over 1000 posts and over 100,000 views; when I started this thread I had no idea of the longevity of these trucks and this post.
Hope to see it reach the 100,000 post and 1,000,000 view club

I got almost 195000
on my 97 F150 4.6 auto 4x4. I bought the truck w/ 170000. My truck has treated me well. replaced the starter at 188000, and a front hub at 182000. Still idles smooth at 600rpm and only goes through a quart of oil every 3000. It's my first truck and I plan on running it till the wheels fall off, or the body sucumbs to the rust factor.

Bought my 1994 F150 truck last week - 111,700 miles on it. Haven't had a pickup for 5 years - now I'm back in the saddle. Previous Fords: 1979 Supercab 4x2 300 I6, 1985 Bronco 4x4 300 I6, 1989 Supercab 4x4 5.0L. This one drives like a dream! Engine oil and trans fluid is clean, some rust coming through lower panels & underneath but otherwise very clean. Plan on keeping it for another 100K miles!
Try 445,000 miles
Can you say Energizer Bunny. It just keeps going and going...
I have a 91 F150 Lariat with 445K miles on it. Granted its on its second 302, but hell the first one lasted close to 350K miles. It was a service truck before I got it and was well maintained. Not everything works anymore like the door locks, A/C, Cruise control... but I see those as comfort items not have to have items. These trucks will go forever as long as you take care of them. Besides I still have not found a truck that sounds as good to me as a 302 through a good exhaust. Music to my ears. IMO.

1997 F-150 XL RC 4.6 auto, 8' bed, cloth bench seat and rubber mats.
I have replaced heater core, timing chain (went ahead and had water pump replaced while we were in there) radiator (it split wide open - wasn't the trucks fault) and a/c compressor. Otherwise only battery, brake pads, shoes, rotors, fluids, filters, and tires. I am on my second set of plugs and wires.
Front suspension still just fine, is tight and has only needed alignment once, otherwise just have alignment and ball joints checked periodically. Never any funky wear on tires like some Ford trucks I have owned.
We use it as a work truck and tow a trailer with it almost every day.
218,000 miles and still runs and drives like it did when it only had 50K miles. Uses more oil than I like as it smokes at first daily start up (probably valve guides), but does not leak or drip any fluids at all. Still gets good mileage.
As much as I depend on it, I know that a motor or tranny failure are only just a matter of time (not if, but when), and I don't especially want it to be my primary truck when that happens. Don't want to have to put $7K worth of motor and tranny into a truck that will be worth $2-3K before and after...
I don't want for something big to fail while I am out on the road with a bed and trailer full of expensive equipment, so I have been looking at new trucks for several months, just waiting to find the right truck at the right price.
I keep waffling between RC, SCab, and CC so I don't know for sure WHAT I will end up with, but I can assure you that it WILL be another F-150.

My awsome 93 XLT 4x4
100,000 mile club!! My 93 has been there 3 times now! I have 316,00 miles on my 5.0 and have never even removed the valve covers!! As a matter of fact this truck has NEVER (as of 12/30/06) had a major repair. My E4OD & 8.8 w/3:55 gears are also still oem from factory. I still drive an average of 2,000 miles per month. My brother in laws can't stand it (there chevy guy's) I just smile & tell em to drive it till they catch up!!
I'm there F150 4.6L Third door short bed 144k. have only had it for 8 months had heads rebuilt (MAF went wako and burned valves ) a week ago blew oil line and engine started Knocking was still showing good oil pressure when i shut it off repaired line and filled with oil but very noisy (looking for a 5.4 now the rest of the truck is in good shape so hate to get rid of it. hope for many more miles after swap
