Who is in the 100,000 mile club?
'99 F150 ex-cab 4x4
5.4L
140,000 miles
rebuilt rear end, replaced head gaskets, ball joints
spent $12k on the truck and i've put $3.5k into repairs - kind of irritating
BUT I am very happy with it - I bought it with 120k with a pretty much unknown history, so I should have expected as much. And to get an equivalent truck new would cost $35k or more
Motor runs like new, tranny is great, no rattles and quivers (A squeak or two here and there) - it goes wherever (And i mean WHEREVER) i want it to go, and takes what i want to with it.

How about a 200.000 plus mile club???
Howdy guys, I bought my '99 F-150 single cab truck with 4 miles on 12/28/98 and as of today it shows 252.XXX miles. It idles, runs, stops, handles as any other truck. Of course after regular maintenance and service this baby could maybe reach higher miles.
Dad has a 1989 Ford Ranger with 2.9 and it has around 140,000 miles and still going. He has had to replace the clutch at least two or three times though. I am going to be getting a 1999 or newer Ford F-150 with close to 100,000 hopefully this week. After reading these posts I feel a little better about buying one with more miles.
i get the club twice i got 272 000 miles on my 1999 ford 150 5.4 it runs great still and we use it every weekend to pull a 16 ft enclosed trailer that has around 7000 to 10 000 pounds of swords in it to ren fairs which is my business. It still runs like a top all we have replaced it a altenator and tht it after all these miles. and obvisouly the usuall things like oil change tires brakes and so on..... this truck is totally beat also, this weekend we actually touched 6 grand 15 times while 4 whelling. only mod is exhaust tht it.
I have 140K on my '92 F-150 XLT 4.9L I-6 4x4 SB RC. No major repairs, just the usual preventitiave stuff. I recently used this truck to pull dozens of trees (6'-15' tall) and countless shrubs out of my yard roots and all! I also used it to pull the old chain-link fence out from the perimiter of the yard. I broke several 20K lb. tow straps in the process, left a few ruts in the grass and bent the bumper up slightly. But it beat the heck out of digging posts out for a week! Keep in mind, I did all this on the factory step-bumper hitch! If that isn't one tough workhorse, I don't know what is... The old straight six doesn't win many races, but they run forever and pull stumps out of the ground (quite literally)
My dad recently sold his '86 F-150 XL 4.9L I-6 2x4 LB RC with over 280,000 miles on it, and it still ran perfectly! I actually used this one to pull an S-10 out of a muddy ditch buried halfway up the hood, back wheels in the air!
The body & chassis was so rusted out that it was literally unsafe to drive. I guess 18 Chicago winters (salt everywhere) finally caused the body to rot. The manual 4-speed (3+OD) was replaced at around 240K, but the motor was never serviced. I did do a valve job on it in 1995, not that it needed it, but I did it for my senior project in high school auto shop. Just oil changes, wires, plugs, etc. otherwise.
He bought a '91 f-150 XL 4.9L I-6 2x4 LB RC about two years ago to replace the '86. But this time I got it from the Mississippi Gulf Coast, so it didn't have one speck of rust on it! It does now... Welcome to Chicago! That baby should see 300K+. Halfway there already, only time will tell.
Cheers to all of you in the club!!!

178,680 miles by the time I got to work this morning
Funny thing about it... my wife's car (Ford Contour), a year younger (the car, not the wife), 98,000 and isn't in HALF the shape my 150 is
I love this truck!

156,000 this a.m. '97 Expedition, 5.4l. Only fixing needed have been 1 coil pack, battery and alternator, rear axle seals failed and took out parking brake shoes. Not too shabby... still runs great and is my DD.
Just turned 300,000 miles today. No major issues other than bearings in the 8.8 rear end. Original engine, trans, water pump, fuel pump, calipers, electrics... Even 2 of 4 O2 sensors are original. Check engine light has been on three times: plugged EGR port, one front O2, and one downstream O2. Bring on 400,000
