1984 F150 has just ran past 204,000 with the original engine, 4.9 300 inline 6 single barrel carb., with no major overhauls except a timing gear at 75K.

Still running great but looking for a new dashboard.

'97-182k, '00-96k

'97 250LD XLT 4x4 ORP 3.73 LSD 5.4L - 182K no major problems, tight and as good as my '00 4.6L 4x4 XLT Expedition with 96K.

'97 250LD now at 223K. Just had to replace the left head after it blew #4 plug out of the head.
00' Expedition sold at 136K.

Now, I'm in the market for a 2000-2001 F-250 SD V10, as I beginning to tow longer distances with mroe weight.

Ray

1997 F-150 4.6L Extended cab, 147,000 miles and still running the stock (factory) spark plugs and plug wires! Still getting 17 - 19 mpg on the entestate. I pull my 24' open car trailer with a '90 Mustang to the track as often as I can, no problems. Just recently, I pulled a '93 standard cab LWB 600 miles on my trailer with the 4.6L. It was a hand full at best, but still got 9.5 mpg traveling at 65 mph. To the best of my knowledge, still running all factory components.

Just turned 107,000. No major issues. Just normal maintenance, the usual 'bugs' and my add-ons. Very happy so far.

ronhop, how do you like the powerdyne SC? What kind of fuel mileage are you getting with your combo? What about towing, do you do much?

I have 115,00 on my 1998 Super Cab 4x4 4.6L, and knock on wood, it's still as strong as ever. Other than the dent to the front left fender, courtesy of the wife, I'm proud to say this has been one of the most reliable vehichles I have owned. Looking forward to the next 100,000.

My 1989 F150 with inline six and 5speed manual transmission has 192K on it. I have owned it since it was new and it doesn't use any oil and I have not had to put a clutch in it yet. Also no fluid leaks. Great truck!!!

Gave my '97 F150 4.6L to daughter in law at 116k miles. It's still running great, she won't give it back, not even for my '03 Dodge Hemi. Uses no oil, shifts like new. Best truck I ever had. Too bad about the '04's. Fugly and not as comfortable as the '97-'03.

So from what I've read, I shouldn't have any concerns about my recently purchased '02 SCrew w/ 25k mileage?!?!

124000 on my 94 F150 XLT Super cab. 5.8L V-8. Had a problem with a tranny back at around 90000, but preventative maintenance has taken care of the rest.

98900 on my 1992 F150 Scab -- then a Isabel dropped a tree on it!

I sure do love my yellow 2004 FX4 --- but not the payment!
