Who is in the 100,000 mile club?
97 xcab 4.6L 98K and coming up too 100k fast. First truck I've ever owned. Only minor problems and regular maintenance (knock on wood). Will put about 130K plus on it before I trade her in.
1999 F-150 Supercab, flareside, 4.6, auto, 3.55 rearend.
Bought used in Dec. of 2001. It had about 40,000 miles on it.
At about 62,000 miles, I put an Allen Roots supercharger kit with a 5 pound pulley. At about 68,000 miles, I put a shift kit in it and started experiencing "pinging" or pre-detenation. At about 80,000 miles I put a "Bazooka" 11-12 pound boost pulley and severe pinging in warmer outside temps. Around 90,000 miles I took off the Bazooka pulley. At the very top of the shift I still have some pinging in warmer weather. I did a compression test several months ago and it was well within specs. for all cylinders.
As of December 2003, I have about 108,000 miles on it (yeah, I average over 30,000 miles a year in this truck). It is still running strong and with the Allen supercharger, I am still beating up on Chevys off the line!
However, as soon as I gather all the parts, I am installing a forged lightning 5.4 engine/supercharger set-up. From that, I will transition to a twinscrew head unit replacement or a turbo.
Be the fastest off the line or down the line.....go roots or turbo!

just rolled on to 107,500 miles. Have had a few minor problems; water pump, etc. no problems with the drivetrain. I use the truck to haul and whatever else comes along and it still comes back for more. I think its just getting good and broken in by this time. I think I'll be a ford man for life.
keep on driven um.

I have a 94 shortbed with a 300 6 cy in it that has over 112k hard miles. Seriously hard. It purrs like a kitten and i just slap new shocks on every few years and change the oil every 4 months. It has the 3/4 springs for a reason.
Even a house hasn't stopped it. nasty dent though.

I can't believe some of you with just over 100k think that is high miles! I only wish my truck was that young. I guess I haven't realized yet how old my beater is. My '88 F-150 has 190,000 miles and runs like it just rolled of the assembly line. I will probably be getting a Powerstroke soon for more power and the cool factor, but I'll keep this truck also. I would like to see 300k on the odometer some day but I doubt I'll ever drive it that far.
If it ain't built Ford tough, it ain't my truck.

I'm at 117,000 on my 97 F150, regular cab, 8 foot bed, 4.6L, 5 speed manual, Off Road package. It looks and runs like it's brand new, I've done all the normal maintenance, all fluids and filters ar recommended intervals. Only problem it's ever had is the in tank fuel pump while still under warranty. I love this truck!
200,000 on a 98 V6
Put 450,000 on the 89 Chevy 1500 I drove for 10 years before the Ford. I know it was a Shovy, but it wouldn't die. And nothing would break on it so there was no point trading it in... just keep driving it. In fact, that truck is still on the road. I see it every once in a while.
I'm hoping for similar life from the F150.

97 f-150 xcab 4x4 w/ 4.6. 113,000 miles and no major drivetrain problems. had to replace the rear spider gear at about 105 and the right front hub (bearings went).
My friend has a 94 with the 5.0 and it just rolled 218,000 on the original motor (not sure on the tranny).
Built Ford Tough.....Damn right

100,000+
I know thid forum is mainly for f-150's but Ford makes other model trucks just as good. My 1999 which is really a 1998 but Ford didn't make any super Duty 1998's has 113,000+ miles. Although it is a diesel, I purchased it with the expectations of getting 300K to 400K out of it. Still every bit as good as new and I will own it as long as I can keep it running.

Great thread very positive
I have put 177K miles on my Bronco II 2.9 V6, what a romping little truck. Mud, snow, trees, two cars, nothing can stop it. All original, no problems but a power steering pump I burnt up in the woods last year. I would have bought a new one in December if Ford was still making them. Got a 2003 F150 4.2 4x2 instead, it has 1000 miles, nice truck, but I have to wash it now and again, unlike the B2.
