Bless your heart. Pray tell how you can draw such a conclusion.

Believe me, they got things like this all figured into there budget.
If self "rightous" means not looking the other way when people look for assistance in ripping someone off, I plead guilty.

The fact that bogus warranty claims are in "there" budget is exactly the point, brainiac. "There" budget in part determines the selling price of "there" trucks. Which means that we all pay for fraudulent warranty claims.

Guess you must have missed all of the front-page news reports over the last few years about Ford losing billions.

I don't own an Audi but I do own a Subaru...and yes I believe they def know something about quality. I won't bother listing the recent and past accolades; all you would have to do is open any magazine/website regarding that sort of stuff. I know there is something about some of the cars being the safest "ever tested" and something about Subaru dethroning Lexus on repairs...you know unimportant things like that.... Thakn you. -Mike-

Not true. Even if the dishonest were eliminated, there would still be the stupid.

And, as is evidenced by this thread, there's enough stupidity in the world to keep us busy for the forseeable future.

I love the internet. People get all heated over something so trivial.

Personal attacks and all that BS. Whatever... I got bigger plans in my life than to worry about if some guy on the web gets a new motor or not. I just find it amusing to see the way people automatically call a guy who may be hard up for cash all sorts of derogotory names.

If he get's over, good for him. If he don't, he paid to play. Simple as that.

You may be smarter than me, prettier than me, wealthier than me.
I'd still sit down next to you and buy you a beer.
I don't take life to seriously.
I stared death in the face, and lived to have nightmares about it.

So, please, don't insult my intelligence with your above comment.
I find it to be just as juvinelle as you found my original quote.
So let's call it even Mr Skelton.

HERE IS THE ANSWER TO THIS PROBLEM

************************************************** **************

It may be too late for this; but, for future reference, the next time you blow your engine, have a buddy come into the Lightning forum and tell your story. He should also relate what a fine human being you are and how you have been a valuable member of the Lightning community. Then he should offer to help you out and to take up a collection from your Lightning brothers to get you back up and running...

Don't laugh. It's worked before.

Been there, done that. Blew mine on a highway run while under the 3 year warranty period. I did not bother to take it to Ford as I knew when I pullied it that my warranty would be void. Also after experierncing the power of my 8# lower I knew a stocker would never satisfy me again.
I went for a JDM longblock because I knew it was my fault for the failure, and I wanted a better platform for future mods. Suggest you do the same even if the truck must sit while saving $$$.

My guess is you either own a Lightning and are a bitch or you own nothing and are still a bitch. You start a new name just to bad mouth the Lightning and then try and talk up German garbage>??? You are a bitch. Well enjoy your stay. -Mat-

Oh yeah, Subarus do not have any quality, especially if it is a WRX, just so you know.

Oh yeah, here's a little story on being honest:
About 3 months ago(maybe more), I ordered an Air Force One power tube from Chickenears. They were on back ordered. He was able to get me one pretty quickly though. He said I was lucky as there would probably be no more for quite some time. Well today the UPS man walks in and hands me two packages. I was only expecting a flywheel for a customer's car so I was a little confused. After taking a look it turns out it is another Air Force One power tube. I guess some how my name stayed on the waiting list and a second one was dropped shipped to me.
Hmmmm, what do I do now! That's right I have morals, I picked up the phone and called up Tim and told him about it. He had no idea and I could have kept this tube free and clear and he would have never known. He was greatly appreciated about it.
So see, it is not that hard to do the right thing, actually it is pretty easy. -Mat-

Yes OD1010
you came to the right place for sympathy

Not to say the Gen2's have not proved themselves in dependable in stock form, but with mods I begin to see many people in the a similiar situation.

Thats one reason I have steered from a Gen2 Lightning, though I really like them and race with alot of the guys on this board.
It just with 143,000 on my original motor its hard to beat the dependability of my Gen1, so I wait.

It looks as though you need to have the truck looked at and determine what went wrong and get it fixed. I would just use caution going to the dealer. They have probably been through this with someone else.
You say you dont have the finances to go crazy with performance mods. Install a stock motor until you get back on your feet.

And everyone else, lay off the Saburu jokes. My wife has a 2004 impreze and it will walk away from anyone in here with 1" of snow and a 5% grade.
