Wow they look great!! Is this you first retrofit and how hard were they to do? Also if you don't mind how much did everything run to do them?

This was my first retro fit. They weren't too hard, ran into a few snags here and there. Mostly with the paintwork. The actual retrofit was not overly hard in my mind. Took my time, and double checked everything before I committed to the next step. I believe all in, I spent around 540 Canadian. That's with a set of ebay special heads.

Thanks everyone for the comments. I have some more things planned, but I'm going to wait till the parts arrive and get installed before I start getting too excited.

Well everything has been good with the lights. Noticed my stock rubber boots didn't seal up properly though. Ordered a new set of cap style boots now.

And Darren, thanks. No sooner did I read about your low grade misfire, do I develop one of my own. P0302 and P0316. Misfire cylinder 2, and misfire detected within the first 1000 rpm's. Not a huge misfire, but noticeable. Will have to diagnose tomorrow now. Leaning towards a coil as I replaced the plugs less than 10,000 km ago.

Well got the misfire fixed with a coil. Kind of feel like changing the other 7. In time I guess.

Spoiled myself a little bit with a recon third brake light to match the tails. I wish they had a red one, so I could have it done the same as the tails. But I won't be picky.

Thank you. Things have been fairly slow on the truck. Waiting for a few other things to show up.

I've been trying to keep part of it on the down low till they show up. But I'm getting pretty excited about them.

I was able to ****** up Sammy's first set of retrofitted fogs. They should hopefully be here this week.

Just got back yesterday, a day early from a 1755km round trip for a wedding. Didn't make it due to a nasty spring storm. It rained for 90% of the trip till we hit the massive amounts of snow fall.

On the plus side, the headlights and fogs did not leak. Which is great. Good work on the fogs Sammy.

On the rather unfortunate side, the engine has developed the dreaded phaser tick on the passenger side cam. Great. I will be ordering everything new, phasers, guides, tensioners, chains, and seals.

Now my question is, has anyone locked these out? I'm almost tempted to do it when I'm in there. I know livernois has a kit with a tuner. Or should I leave it stock? What's the best course of action for this repair?

Anyways, here's a few more pictures..

And on a plus side, just bought this for $100. A friend is bringing it down in a few weeks...

Thanks guys. I did get a great deal on it. Just lucky I have a buddy living in that town that could go snag it quick.

Any advice on the cam phaser issue? I've read quite in depth about it. But it seems to be somewhat of a 50/50 thing about just replacing or locking them out.
Also, are the dorman phasers any good?
