Well made some more progress on the heads this weekend. Just needs another coat or two of paint. Then reassembly. Would have got the done but I found water in my basement today. Needless to say the snow we had two days ago has completely melted. Hence the water in the basement.

Took some pictures of all the trucks together yesterday. The parents are selling their 02 instead of the Lincoln now.

That is quite the collection of Ford-only trucks! Nice to see for sure. All supercrews too, which I love to see. I know who's looks the best

My dad has had only Ford trucks, though he isn't even a huge truck guy. But whether because of him or my own doing, I have become extremely biased towards them.

My dad bought a new f250 in 79, same colours as his 08. Since 79 he's owned many different brands, but mostly chev's.

It wasn't till he bought our( I say our because I bought it off him when I was 17) 94 f150 extended cab with the inline 6, that we started to purchase fords. We've had a few between us. I still regret selling my 00 ext cab. It had the 4.6 with the 5spd.

To make a long story short they have all been great trucks. A few problems here and there, but that's to be expected. But thanks on the compliments. We are fairly big truck guys. Any car just wouldn't be practical for us.

My dad has had 2 Rangers and an 03 screw. I certainly won't own anything non-American, but pretty set on Fords for the most part considering they're the most American thing left . . . Dad's 07 Mustang GT has 80k miles on it with absolutely zero issues besides AC evap and condenser. And my truck has been good to me, and his 03 was too before my mom drove it into a tree . . . I don't think I could ever be without a truck as at least one of my vehicles.

That's quite a few fords as well. I wouldn't mind ending up with a stang eventually. Fortunately I have a project car that's sitting on the back burner for the time being. It's not a ford, so don't hate too bad. But it's a 57 chev two door straight post wagon. It'll eventually get it's due.

As for the heads, finished up the paint work. And I've got the shrouds on. Just have to peel a bit more sealant off so I can lay a fresh bead. Clean everything up a reassemble. Most likely Wednesday.

I plan on taking some good comparison pictures. So I'll probably get them with the stock heads and fogs Wednesday night, and with the retro'd ones Thursday. It's slowly coming together.

Hey, I can dig me a tri-five Chebby wagon! Slap a 572 in that sucker My top choice for a classic right now would probably be a '69 440 Charger or '70 454 Chevelle; both non-Fords.

I'm looking forward to seeing the change! If I wasn't spending my spring break building a fence and pressure washing to sell the house . . . I'd probably PTM my heads white.

That's basically the only reason I haven't gone any further with the car. Way too many paths, and decisions.

Made some great progress with the heads. Drivers side is done. Not the best pictures. The one without the lense is pre-clean. But I've got it all back together and ready to go. The end result in my mind is stunning. I will be finishing the passenger one after work tomorrow.

Sorry about the somewhat crappy pictures. Only been shooting with the iphone.
Will be taking better pictures of the light out puts and final installation.

Crappy? Those are as good or better than like every picture I've taken in my life

Those look really clean and almost OEM, which is perfect to me.

To be honest I mostly post from my phone. Haven't really had a chance to look at the pictures on a computer yet. Have always assumed that pictures from the phone aren't as good as from an actual camera.

Finished up the lights yesterday. Even had time to get them installed. I figured I'd not take any comparison pictures. Just know the stockers were horrendous with putco pure bulbs installed.

Anyways, only really one picture since the install. The truck is filthy, and won't be cleaned for quite awhile. There is a fresh water shortage causing a local state of emergency. Basically the snow we had melted so quick, the run off caused excessive turbidity in the river.

Anyways, I'll take more pictures once I am able to clean it.

Basically, if anyone one has not decided, or is unsure about this mod. To make it short, do it. This has got to be the best lightning upgrade I've ever done. I am short pressed to say it's even better than the rigid fogs. The amount of time I actually use them, doesn't really make the initial purchase price worth it. But the retrofit, has got to be the better dollar for dollar upgrade. More pictures to come!
