I've been planning on getting my bumper resprayed as it's peppered. I was planning on doing it myself. But my uncle talked me into taking it to his shop on a future Saturday. The tails will be done tomorrow. The clear on one bubbled a bit, so they are going to sand and respray it. They look great, better than a nightshade job for sure. Went a medium tint with them. Don't want to degrade the light quality.

And maybe down the road I'll sell the recons in favour of the spyder tails.
Definitely is never wonderful. I've broken a lot of plastic in cold weather. Plans sound good for certain!

I've been there as well. Many oh **** moments. I'd like to say I've learned.
And I've jumped to the conclusion tonight, I'm going to finish the paint work on the heads and put them together minus halo's. I've got some things in the works for the fogs, and they won't have the halos to match.

So that will be a great Saturday project.

Sounds good. Just gonna send the halos back? They aren't the most reliable things anyway

Well the place I've ordered them from haven't even received shipment from oracle yet. They figured they would get them around the 14th and to me on the 15th. So I'll just phone and cancel the order. Won't be a huge deal.

For future reference, are there any halos that are reliable? Somewhat a new forte for me in this whole retrofitting scene.

Ah that's good.

From talking to thelariat02, they're all not that great. Morimoto's may be a little better, and that's what he's gonna use.

I used flashtech due to reading about oracle's failure. Use them as accent but they are cool lights to mess with. This is on IBF150 truck:

Heres the more simpler kit:

I got the 7 color and I don't recommend using as running or DRL lights

The truck so far, as it stands has a few of the go to starters. I've put a spectre cai, borla xr-1(single, soon to be dual'd), edge cts, kenwood double din touch screen, dsg painted headlights, nightshaded tails, 2" readylift, and have plastidipped the factory 20's flat black. I have a set of rigid d-series fogs in the bumper opening.

Don't mind the rock chipped front bumper, I've been waiting for my uncles body shop to get their bake booth up an running. That will be getting fixed soon enough.

One thing I've decided to jump in feet first with, is my first retrofit. I've ordered the fx-r stage 3 kit, with Gatling gun shrouds, 55w 5k bulbs and ballasts. Also ordered the oracle halo kit in 8k white ccfl for the heads, and the oracle depo preassembled fogs in 8k to match. I will eventually retro the matchbox into the fogs, but it's not high on the list.

This spring I will also be getting a set of the 295/60/20 open country at2's.

Sweet ride will be fallowing this post.

I don't mind the look of the halos in the stock lights. Any aftermarket or ebay specials don't do it for me.

I cancelled the order today. Going to get the lights ready for reassembly this weekend.

Thanks for all the interest. Definitely giving me motivation.

I have the tails back. My uncle wants me to mount them on the truck so they can sand and polish them. They look amazing.

Here they are.. A little dirty, not a big deal.

I must agree. Even without the cut and polish, they are way better looking.
