It is understandable, to a point. I've been accident free for 12 years. Since the day I started driving. I've paid roughly 17,000 for insurance, starting at 1800 a year when I was 16, for liability insurance. I was down to 300 a year before I bought my 06. I've got full coverage on it for 1200 a year. That's a lot of cash paid for essentially nothing other than legalities. Unfortunately it has to be paid.

And an h pipe would sound just as good. I honestly can not wait. All the lash adjusters and cam bolts showed today. By the looks of it the cams should be here tomorrow. Headers and muffler were shipped this morning. I'm like a kid in a candy store right now. Also, my sct x4 tuber should be here some time me t week.

Well the best package showed up today.

Also got a call today stating the pacesetter headers are 4-5 week back ordered. Stupid. I almost cancelled them to order else where. But I'll still end up waiting close to that if I order from the states. So here I wait. Those header bolts will probably show up first. But I've got everything for the internals now. So that's good.

I thought about total cost after I said that, but even then, there's so much liability on the part of the insurance company when they insure young people. I've paid damn near $10k for 4 years of driving.

I'm going with H pipe to be different and cause they're supposed to be deeper and throatier than an X, which supposedly has that "exotic" sound.

Have you looked at the OBX kit? It's arguably cheaper than Pacesetters since it includes the mid pipe and connects straight to the factory exhaust, or catback in your case. It's also stainless steel, which I would MUCH prefer living in salt central like you do. Link to the best price on it is in that thread I made. Mine made it to my house in just a few days after I ordered it.

You really splurged!

I have checked out the obx kit, even in the link you provided the kit is 475.00 US, not including shipping. To get it to Canada with the weight and size of the box, shipping would probably be around 100. So let's make it an even 600 US, which would make it right around 675.00 canadian at the current exchange rates. I paid 330.00 canadian through a supplier with free shipping. The stainless with the obx kit is definitely a plus, but I couldn't beat the price I got.

For me, it was only $515 shipped, so it was more than worth the extra $200 for 304 SS and mid pipe. That mild carbon steel needs to at least be ceramic coated or it's gonna get eaten alive up there. And that'll jack the price back up again towards the OBX price. Just throwing it out there. That sucks that shipping is so expensive for y'all.

How long do regular steels exhausts tend to last up there?

Give or take. The salt isn't too bad around where I am. They don't even salt the roads in the winter really. I'm going to phone the place I ordered through later today, and see about cancelling the headers. If everything goes through I'll order those obx ones. Just have one last test to write for my apprenticeship, and I'll get the call felt with.

Just got off the phone with the supplier, they are going to see if I can still cancel the headers. They gave the word to pacesetter less than an hour ago to start production. So here's hoping. I don't see an issue with it. Less than an hour on a 4-5 week wait. Hopefully hear back from them soon so I can order the obx headers. I will probably just order the obx and sell the pacesetters privately if need be.

And the stack of parts is already driving me nuts. Ive never had to wait more than a week or two to install stuff before. So it's going to eat at me pretty good.

Hopefully they'll let ya cancel, but they should. I'm good with waiting until I pay for it or until it's sitting in front of me, then it just drives me bonkers haha.

I hear ya. Nothing worse than staring at it. Missed the purolator driver by 20 minutes today. Have to swing by there at 5 to grab the borla muffler. Still haven't heard back about the headers. Figured they would have called by now. Just sit and wait I guess.

Headers have been cancelled! Woooo! I guess I just had to post about it. Actually had great customer service from www.tdotperformance.com So if any of you are canadian, check them out. Great prices, and best of all free shipping.

Just going to wait for the credit, then I'll be ordering the obx headers. I really should have done more research, and asked around here before ordering in the first place. I just wish I could get the obx ones without the y-pipe, as the new exhaust will have to be bent from the headers back. Oh well. Anyone in the market for a y-pipe?

Thanks for straightening me out KMAC, you guru you. Now I need to figure out how to get my sig to post every time without having to select it.

Darren, it'll be the catless y-pipe from the obx kit. Won't be needing it. If you want it, it's yours.

I hate going into the garage now. I should cover the boxes up. Outta sight, outta mind. Doesn't help that I check shipping notices daily. Tuner will be here this week. Headers probably 2. Then the fun begins.

And may as well put this here as well. Fixed the bumper, not 100% but I know what to do to get it there now.
