for those that didn't know PBH (Power by the Hour) has a 3rd Gen 5.0 and 10spd swap harness available now. Exciting news for those that are just getting started with their swaps.

Video update being processed, and will be uploaded shortly....

3rd time is the charm. I got the diff reinstalled again after adding a second .010" shim to the pinion and I'm very happy with the results.

I need to finish building out the axle and then I can start the real fabrication work

I ordered wheel studs today for my new axle shafts. Couldn't contain my excitement and dug into the 4link kit today.

Got everything laid out

initial setup off the truck

Quick mock up on the driver's side.

I'll need to go back and finish adjustments and all that, but I should be able to take some more real measurements soon so I can get my coilovers ordered

still needing to set pinion angle, and do final measurements so I can order the coil overs

Also weighed the old versus new setup and here's where I'm at
Old stuff:
99.4 Leafs/shackles
25 Hangers and hardware
11 Shock absorbers
135.4 Total

New stuff:
39 brackets
21 4 link bars and hardware
13 Watts link bars and hardware
?? coil overs
73.4 Current Total

So assuming that my coil overs are less than 62 lbs for the pair. I've shed some considerable weight off the back end. And a lot of that weight is unsprung weight. Always nice to reduce unsprung weight.

Now onto the pics

Got my new cover all sealed up:

Left side, mocked up

Right side mocked up

I'm usually pretty good about wearing PPE if I'm doing any sort of cutting, grinding etc. Any sort of aggressive action that could lead to debris flying in the air. That also includes spring compressor and the hydraulic press as well.

I'm curious what you saw that you'd recommend that I wear safety glasses for?

Coil overs showed up yesterday, got more cutting and grinding to do. Hopefully I can get this thing welded up this weekend. Or atleast that's my goal
