This is getting so close!!!

These swaps are getting insane. Power by the hour created a PLUG & PLAY harness for 05-09 mustangs and gen 1 coyotes. All gauges work and the harness uses the factory fuse box. Definitely will be picking one of those up in the next few years.

Starting to look real promising for my generation as well. I want a coyote and 6r80 and bet when I'm ready it will be near drop in at the rate these companies are figuring this stuff out. I found a few guys doing swaps in 04-08's recently. I sent one guy this thread. He seemed impressed with your work. As he should be haha.

Got the bracket welded, then painted, and reinstalled the modified shaft

My steering wheel is clocked 90* to the right now. I think I've got a clever way to fix that. I did pull the steering wheel off last night and its splined in a way that you cant reindex it

Ladies and Gentlemen........

She made a 10 mile inaugural test drive last night. Followed by another 12 miles to work today.

Working on getting the monitors to run so I can get her inspected

I still have a TON of work to do. But this is an exciting milestone!

Found two more new issues since last night. Will start working through them as soon as I can

Driveline vibration under load. Probably pinion angle needs to come down

Intermittent issue: engine will crank, but no start if it sits between 10 minutes and 1 hour. After an hour or so it will start right up on the first try

Got the alignment checked. My at home alignment was very close, just the steering wheel was off center. Now its spot on

Random undercarriage shot while on the alignment rack

Went to a two post rack, and swapped out my axle shims. Went from 3.5* to a 6* shim and it fixed my angles and subsequent vibrations under throttle/power

Also did a full brake fluid flush to new DOT 4 brake fluid.

Very happy with my progress today. Still trying to get the monitors to run, but its nice to actually feel confident to really drive her now.

Working on a quick video from my test drive today, stay tuned!!

What are your plans for the front sway bar? It looks like it would be pretty tight.

Got exhaust done today. Ive got some pics/videos, will work on getting those poster

Drove about 100 miles on her today. Made it out to the Coyote Shootout. Didnt get to run it tho. My leaf springs are way too soft/weak to handle the torque of 1st and 2nd gear. Probably gonna end up doing custom 4 or 5 link setup now

I haven't had one on since I went 5/7 drop. I found some custom end links, might actually put it back on now
I eyeballed it and it looks tight but looks like it will clear the rack.

Currently doing research, might jump off the deep end.

Currently seriously considering complete custom rear setup:
4 Link
Watts Link
Coilovers

Anyone wanna loan me some money? I need a damn sponsor

Thanks!!!

I'm up to about 300 miles driven on the swap now. I got her to pass state inspection today with a little bit of Patman magic

Here's how the exhaust turned out. She sounds great! Working on youtube video now too

Back at home, I love the way the cluster looks in this truck!

Hey Pat, I've been using the JLP long bars now or 15 years and don't have any axle wrap at all.
I had to look for the one's I have. The ones on the JLP site are different then what I got from them way back.
The link below is what I have. On the dyno we were able to watch it under load and there was Zero movement.
It would be a cost effective solution.
