Official Lowered 4x4 thread
Yes. On a 4wd you can remove the 2" blocks and use 2" lowering shackles for a total of 4" in the rear. I used the ground force shackles that came with the shims and they work perfect. The front is the same as a 2 WD except for the struts are about 1.5" taller on a 4wd, and the spindles have a hole for the axles.
I really appreciate this thread. I'm removing the rear blocks to get mine close to level, I'm trying to decide how I want to go about getting another 2" on both the front and rear, recommendations welcome
Belltech Drop Struts for the front, and a 2" shackle of your choice for the rear. I used Belltech Part# 25001 on mine which is for a 2wd. If you're only going 2" lower in the front go with Belltech part# 25002 which is for a 4wd.
Note: 2wd strut is 1"+/- shorter than 4wd.

After removing the rear blocks the front sits about 1/2" too high. I ordered the Belltech 25002 for front and Ford Racing m-3000-g for rear. Hoping to get the 2" drop on the front and 1.5" on the rear as described.
Updated pics - thought I had already put some in here, but apparently not. For now it sits at 2.5/4 and running Slam Air helpers(59210). Once my shop isn't being used as storage I'm going to give 3" a try in the front.
The ground isn't very level in the pics, but it was an easy place to get some quick shots.

You're better off to do BT drop struts in the front, and a flip in the rear with some good shocks. The front is the only thing that might give you trouble. With a 3" drop in the front you get 4" since the 2wd struts have a 1" difference from 4wd. With mine dropped 4" here's what my axles looked like. I guess you could run with those angles, but I chose not to. Yes on an alignment, and yes on pinion angle. If you run a DJM flip you don't have to use shims for the pinion angle, and can manually adjust the angle. If you want 3" in the front - just get the 2wd struts and set them up for 2" lowering and that'll get you to 3".
I used BT struts for a 2wd part# 25001, BT Street Perf shocks part# 2212EE on the rear, DJM 4" flip.
The pics show the 2wd struts at 3" drop and a DJM 5" flip. It's been raised some, but I don't have current pics yet.

Love the trucks!
Just as food for thought, 1-5/16 at the shock netted a solid 2" drop.

Soooo, installed the 2 wd shocks in the front, flip kit with the 2 wd shocks in the back which ends up just right, but the back ends up being too low, so the truck is slanted towards the back. Ordered the Slam air kit to raise it 2 inches. what I noticed is that the leaf spring cannot be let down after the air bags are installed otherwise it will overextend the bags and damage them.
Anybody come across this?

Damn dude, I don't know what it is, but I really like the look of your truck. Nice job!
