I overtigtened the first time I reassembled. I was using a large torque wrench and I tightened until it would no longer move. Seems it was a full extra turn of the nut from where I marked and 6 threads instead of 5. Right now it seems a quarter of a turn past the orig mark and seems loose. I see many posts about decel noise but none of acceleration noise. Any guidance on what I should do to rectify this issue? Sorry for the novel but trying to capture all aspects. I really appreciate your help.

    tbear,

Need your help. I searched in forums but to no avail. 2005 Expedition with 9.75 rear. Had bad outer pinion bearing and cup. Opened up the diff and cleaned it out. All other bearings and gears looked good. Reassembled and replaced bad bearing and cup. Used new crush spacer and seal. After all was said and done, I have a noise on acceleration almost the sound of a stuck brake pad...chsssssssss. I let off the gas and it goes away. I also have a bit of play in the shaft up and down...very little. I orig marked everything but I think..because I was chatting with someone and not paying attention...

Hey now! I just bought a 2007 Ford F150 supercab. The instrument lights are out, just as you mentioned in your post. I have ordered the lights from the same site as you did, and I will put them in as soon as they arrive. If you have any other advice about this particular operation, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Thought I'd come and check ya out. Very Nice! My uncle had an '07 and that truck was sweet too. Where abouts are you in the Valley? I live in Delaware, but I have property in Burlington, West Virginia. That's in Mineral county, a bit west of Romney. I love it out there. I want to move out there.

It's possible... I'm going to lower it a bit more eventually but I still want a bit of rake so it doesn't squat if I load the bed.

The wheels are the Roush 20's - I think they look great on these trucks. I got them from a member on here locally 4 years ago now.

Thank you for the comment! Should be buying a commuter car so no more salt for the truck. I think we have the same lowered height. I remember you lowered yours. Love the flaresides.
