Ok, W205 is in and I finally had a chance to get some photos after coming home and doing some "real work"

Its overcast here today so I appologize for the bad photo quality.

Click on my gallery below for pictures then select new and old stereo and you will see the W205 in action.

First Impressions: Very nice and my alternator noise that plagued my Pioneer is GONE, so I got the amps cranked up again. The features are really nice, and the IPOD is faster than Pioneer and there is NO back button. I have TWO IPODS connected to the HU...and they both charge while on. One is connected to the AUX for video and the other is used for music only. I opted for this so I didn't have to make any changes with connections. One cool feature is that you can watch the Aux while listening to IPOD. That is pretty neat.

There is no EQ on this HU unless i don't know how to find it. Only Bass and Treble control with some WIDE1,2,3,4 features. You can fad front back, left right. Pulse touch is cool.

Going back out in the garage to play with it.

I cannot wait to get the BlackBird B200

so bring on the questions.....

I installed mine today. I installed the ipod cable and my backup camera is coming tomorrow, so I will be putting it in on Saturday. I have not had a lot of time to play with it though. When I pulled the old HU there were 3 groups of connectors going into it. One was the big main one, one was for the subwoofer and I don't know what the other group of wires was. If anyone has a clue I would love to know. The HU was the 6 disc AUDIOPHILE.

It's like Christmas in May.

funny story, I had two neighbors call me asking me what the hell was going on in my garage this afternoon. Had to apologize to them b/c i was setting my gains on the amp and had to have it really loud for a few min to level match the subs.

I had to tell one of them to speak up. Funny

Want to hear your thoughts on the 205

I love it so far! I have the PXA-H701 sound processor (a must have in my opinion) so I'll have ALOT of tuning to do. By the time the PMD-B200 Blackbird comes out maybe I'll be done tuning.

RollingRock - do you have a link for the kit you mentioned? Is this the best dash kit? I see a lot went with Metra as well.

Thx!

You guys keep saying there's no return button but my w200 has one. No matter what I'm looking thru, playlist, albums etc. Its in the bottom right corner, and it says RTN. Question Rock, what cable is that your using on the video Ipod? I thought to get video you had to use the top plug. Is that plug only for the 205?

I see the confusion. I think what people are talking about is maybe an "up" button or back AFTER you are in a song.

So lets say you did this. Playlist then XYZ then Song, Play. The screen switches to song info and you enjoy your boom boom. About 20 seconds later you decide you want to go back through that same play list and skip about 5-7 songs. Just hit back like the Ipod? Nope its stat over from the main screen.

It's not a big deal, its better than my Pioneer.

I like your I-Customize.

I will get you that cable info on Sat. Its pretty slick. No volume control its line level out just like a normal connection.
