No back button for iPod. (ie to backout to artist, album, etc instead of starting over

 

Personally I don't think any of them are really great with the integration.

Pioneer does the same thing...lets say you go Playlist to Playlist then to song.

If you want to scroll through those songs after selecting one, you must go back and start over.

So I too hope the W205 is better. But not expecting it to be.

 

I was looking at my W200 today and realized it does have a back button. When I'm searching thru anything there is a rtn button on the bottom corner that pops up to allow you to go back

 

Well I just picked up my Alpine PXA-H701 sound processor so just need that IVA-W205 to start shipping and I'll be set. The Alpine rep for the local store I go to says it should start shipping within 30 days. Keep your fingers crossed.

 

Alpine said that 90 days ago....30 more days....Wish they would be more consistent. Alpine Customer Service told me shipping next week.

 

BTW, I would just like to clarify something I just figured out...

The W205 doesn't have integrated BlueTooth...The new Blackbird is the component with the integrated BT...so when docked inside the 205....it becomes functional on the 205 screen along with the NAV.

Nice tidbit to pass on. I like a lot of you was under the impression that it was fully integrated.

The Alpine BT mod is 149.00 if you wanted to use just the 205 and not the BB.

That is incorrect. I just spoke with Alpine after reading your post. Told them about this ETA from Crutchfield. She said, not sure why they would say that...."we are getting our shipping info next week" Are the words I heard. I asked when they thought customers would be getting them, she said, 1st and 2nd week in May. I also asked her how many pre orders Aline had on the 205's she just laughed and said "a lot". So people are waiting

So that is two weeks. That in mind, I will call them again on Monday afternoon to get an update.

If you step back and think about it...how many people really give a crap about this radio? I bet there is less than a 5K people who are actually going to buy one when they see it...then take 10% of those people...they are probably waiting for it...then take 5% of that 10% and you have us.

If they tell me June....then I will have some decisions to make....but I will still probably wait and who knows...by then, there may be a few more new brands with new stuff out.

 

That is good to hear. I am going to wait as long as it takes, I just want it now. On the blue tooth adapter, are you getting the KCE-300BT?

Well I did a search and found a few on ebay so maybe that's a good sign that they will be in stores soon.

 

Yeah I saw that too...I don't trust that source. That guy has only a rating of 94%. I popped him a note to inquire.

 

W205's are SHIPPING.......

Orders went out last Friday and again today.
