The wiring for the W205 is basically the same as any other headunit. Only difference is the wires that must either be hooked up to the Park Brake or and bypass kit to allow you to watch video while in motion. There are also connection to plug in an AUX source (ie; extra dvd player, cd changer) and the is an AUX out to allow the headunit to control extra monitors and such. Pretty simple setup if you have had experience, with out experience it could be frustrating but still do-able.

There is also a cable that can be pluged in that will allow complete control of an ipod, but it is simplely just a plug and play, one end to the headunit and the other end to an ipod. I bought an ipod just because of this feature, very sleek and effective.

I've got just about all of my install stuff and will be attempting my install soon. I think I am going to put my antenna at the right corner of the dash. I don't want to tackle mounting it outside of the vehicle.

I have an amp wired with my factory HU right now and the shop installed a line converter (takes my speaker output and converts it to non-amped) so I didn't have to use the speaker level inputs for my amp. I'm not sure if this means there are already RCAs run from my amp to behind my HU, but that would sure be nice. If that is the case, my install should be fairly easy. I do need to run video out for my headrest monitors.

Question for anybody with headrest monitors, where did you get your power from? Would it be OK to tap into the supply for the rear power outlet in the center console? I figure that these monitors hardly draw any current. Heck, I once went to the races with a 20" tv and an Xbox running off an inverter plugged into the rear power outlet on my 99 navigator.

Also, Rollingrock, how hard is it to install the video bypass? I ordered it along with everything else and am just curious.

And Crutchfield has the B200 up on its site and taking reservations. I can't believe however that they have the price listed at $699 I only paid $675 shipped for the W205. I hope the street price comes down soon on that baby, cuz I won't pay that much for a portable Nav.

I have mine in the dash pocket in the F250's.

A cool place to run your cable in an F150 in the center console. It will require you to unbolt the top and take the screws out of the bottom and pull out after removing the trim piece from the shifter area. (you can easily remove that by pulling from the drink holders. It comes off easy to expose the last two crews holding the bucket in place)

Then you can run the cable from the back of the radio down the center and you'll need to drill a hole in the center console bucket and presto, out of site out of mind.

Make sure you test fit how the cable will run when placing the bucket back in place. And test the shifter to make sure you can hit all the gears needed.

If you don't have the floor shifter I am affraid I am not much help that is unless you can find a way to run the cable under the carpet...otherwise, your plan B in the dash sounds good.

Just got off the phone with Alpine to see about shipping the BB. The nice lady told me shipping at the end of Aug.

Ok, dating back to May, I told her we've heard this every month. She said sorry. I also said many people bought into this pairing and were waiting and getting a tad frustrated....she just let me vent.

That is all I got for ya.
