My truck still in for IC repair. So far that's 10 days. I should have it back tomorrow. Ford couldn't supply one from stock, so we had to raid a dealer down in Phoenix for his last. I hope you guys in Arizona don't need one.
Sorry.

Talking

Well I took mine in this morning and they checked it out. Told the service rep that it leaked and had stopped since Thursday when I found it. Also told her this was a common problem around the country. While it was there they also fixed my horn that went out and fixed the torn foam in the seat. Anyhow, they told me they saw it had leaked and reviewed OASIS and saw it indeed was a problem occurring around the counrty, so they ordered me a new intercooler so it doesnt happen again. I am even more impressed again with Sami and Reynolds Ford.

I put my 99 in the SVT certified Ford dealer shop where I bought it 18 months ago.(30k mile checkup also) They called and wanted to know why I thought it was leaking coolant from the intercooler because there was only air in an intercooler and it wasn't a Diesel motor in the first place. But at least he took instruction and promised to call the tech hot line etc, etc.
but he did say they would replace the heat cracked fog lights. I asked for 2001 shocks and got told that they would not fit. (2001 on a 99), and to get some that would work cost $264 EACH. I passed. Anyone have any TUMS?

This is on behalf of a guy I met last night in front of the London Drugs in Langley, red '99. He had the first one fail at 25,000 km and the second just started leaking at 45,000 km.

2000 started leaking the day I hit 15,000 miles. now has 15,800. Called my dealership the day I noticed it and they said they have never heard of this problem, and that the fluid was just evaporating.

This 1% failure rate seems to be growing , again. maybe thats the reason they are making 7500 for 01, to make the intercooler failure rate on G2 lightnings go down. i think they are going to have to make 120,000 lightnings for 02, in order to carry out the master plan, or something

They now have my L2 rig for an I/C replacement.
I didn't fit in a focus so I got a F150 fullsize to drive. They have it scheduled for 2 days. I will have to park outside tonight. My secure parking will be too low.

29k. And after I get it back with some details, i will post to blue oval.

Add me to the list. Two weeks ago the level was between the lines like it has always been, today it's 1" below the cold fill line. SOB.
