Way to go Habibi! I just completed week 3 with another 2 pounds of weight loss for a total of 14. Doesn't seem like a huge difference but it's a step in the right direction and alot of people here say 1-2 lbs. a week is the safest.

good job bigsherm.....14lbs in 3 weeks is good. You dont wanna loose too much, too fast.

Have you noticed your clothes fitting different yet?

I wear pretty baggy clothes most of the time, but I did have to tighten my duty belt at work a little bit.

I just got over a case of food poisoning from McDonald's. I lost 22 lbs in 3 days. It was Hell; but, I look great! 6' 2" @ 199 lbs.

Wouldn't have gotten food poisoning if you went to Burger King...

I wasn't going to pick at old wounds; but, since you brought it up... That's the first thing I thought of.

It seems alot of people are getting tired of the extra weigh this year. I know more people that have started to drop the weight lately than ever I think.

I started to slowly change my eating habbits after thanksgiving. I am now eating only about 1200 - 1300 calories per day, and even that consists of very healthy food. I didnt lose any weigh at first but it finaly started dropping about 2 weeks ago. Started out at 5'11 245lbs. and have dropped a little over 10 lbs in the past two weeks. My goal at the moment is 200, but I suspect it will change again once I reach it.

shouldnt be too hard, I already dont realy even miss the food I used to love.

Good luck to all of you, I'm tired of being the fattest country around and I hope we can help change it. Seems like a big task, but if we all learn to eat healthy and keep passing that along to our kids or future kids, I think it can happen.

one more thing to add.

One pound of fat is 3500 calories.

just something to keep in mind when you are eating or working out.

I went on the Subway steak & cheeze poisoning plan. 18 pounds 3 days. I'd do it again. Perfect way to jumpstart a diet plan.

About another hour until my weigh-in. Stuck in the office all week, ate bad. Can't wait go to see what the 'ol scale says...

EDIT: Packed on 3lbs. D'oh! This week should be much better, and I should be able to escape work for the gym.
