I am not lying! I always joke with my brother about my truck's inability to spin out. Well, the other night we were just sitting around, waiting for the train to pass, and I just stomped the gas for fun. It usually picks the butt of the truck up, and I was expecting it to just do that.. Well it didn't. It started ROASTING the tires, so I just kept my foot on the floor, and let them warm up for about 7-10 seconds or so, and then I let off the brake. It kept em' rolling at about 4,300 rpm until I let off the gas, because we almost hit the train. I kid you not! NO MODS except the Edge, and that stupid silencer removed. I'll get a picture of the streaks it left, and I'll park the truck on em' so you can see that the tread pattern matches and the wheelbase matches. It may never do it again... But it did it once. I'm about due for some new tires anyway, and if I get a chance I'll do a "Neal roasting video".

My tires are slightly oversized. I'll get the size off the tire later. I haven't got a clue what it is, but I think it was the widest that I could get without them scrubbing.

Your 5.4's won't brake torque? My 4.6 will do it all day long. I remember last year on the last day of school the guys with the camaro's and stang's were all doing it, so I had to join in.

So what's going on with the beta test units being returned to Edge? Mine does not finish the initialization procedure so I can not do much beta testing. But it does look nice mounted on the dash! Has anyone returned theirs or heard anything from Rob lately?

Randy,

I was wondering the same thing. Rob told me they were testing several new products, so I'm sure he has his hands full with those and the Edge issues. I'm not sure what level my truck is programmed to - either 1 or 2 because the shifting is much improved. I do know I lost me stock program, though.

Mail the units back

Rob called me Wed and said the only way for us to get back the stock programming was to send the unit back to him and he was going to send us another unit or something like that. Either way he emailed me a UPS pre-paid shipping label and stated I only needed to send the Edge in and not the cables or pod or anything.

I know alot of us are on this forum talking about the good/bad of Edge but we must all email Rob individually for him to really understand each of our problems. We must all understand that he may not respond but has received our info and will be trying to fix any problems we find. We are Beta Testers!!

I got an email from Rob late Friday asking me to confirm my shipping information so that he could get a shipping label to send the Edge back to him. He hopes to have the shipping label to me sometime tomorrow.

The only contact I have had with him have been through email. It seems to be the best way to get up with him except in an emergency.

Same deal here. They are going to load a stock tune on mine and then I'll download the new software is kind of how I understood it.

Rob's been very good about getting back to me within a day or 2 from when I email him.

Oh yeah! Sure!!!!! ....

I did another "Neal" burnout last night. ROASTED OFF the rear tires at 4,200 RPM. I needed a new set anyway and figured I ought to kill em in style!

I spent waaay too damn much on these tires to roast them off like you do. But before any chip was on my truck and I had old tires on, it would roast them at an easy 3000 rpm all day long.

Hey Guys,
I've been working hard to get ahold of all of you. If you haven't heard from me it will make my life easier if you send me an email with your address and phone number included. With our merger with MSD, we are re-configuring the server here, and access to all of your information is on the server, it's up for an hour, then down, so i'm pulling my hair out trying to access all of your information.

We will need to send you all Return Shipping labels and get all of your evolutions back. I will then turn them all into stock writers and send them back to you. You will need to program your truck using the stock writer, and then use the Lightning Software to restore your evolution to Programmer state. You can call me, or our Tech support line (this will probably be faster since there are 10 of them and 1 of me ) to get the Key to restore your evolution.

thanks again guys,
look forward to talking to you all soon,
Rob
