I just dont want to write over the stock program again! Thanks.
There should be only a stock tune loaded on the programmer. Plug it in and see what it says. If it says it is only programmed with a stock tune, then you are good to go. If not, then don't load anything. You can keep it plugged in though.

Also, I emailed Rob last Friday about my lockup problem, and again today, and haven't heard back from him...

Ok I got the stock tune to reload off the programmer I just got back. Now how do I get the programmer to be normal again and be able to put programs back in? Thanks.

I will assume you have the Lighening utility program loaded on your computer.
Open this program and connect the Tuner to the USB port.
Click on the file menu and go down the box to 'restore Tuner'.
This will bring up a small box that has a Seed number.
Below this, the Key number is put in and must (be a match) for the Seed number.
The catch is you need to call Tech and get a live person to look up the Key # to match your seed#.
Note that the seed number changes every time you bring up this function so be sure you don't change after getting the Key.
After the key operation is complete the program will go on the net and connect with the Edge server to load files.
After these files are loaded, you go for the latest program version.
All this will take about 10 minutes.

Has anybody else emailed Rob recently? I emailed him on Friday, again on Monday, and still haven't heard back from him.

Last email I received form Rob was last Friday (25th). I know he is busy, but sometimes it is near impossible to get a hold of him or any one that would have specifc knowledge of what to when these things break.

Using the ignition timing monitor.
After watching for awhile, I see the timing retards quite a bit with added throttle making me feel that is why the throttle response of the stock tune is poor.
I also think I can see when the PCM does it's torque manegment when the trans shifts by retarding the timing for an instant.
When I move to another tune level, will see what the difference is.

Are any of you guys able to see the Trans fluid temperatures on your trucks? I have had other people say that even though the Edge site says you can do this with the tuner for our trucks, you actually cannot get the trans temp gague to work.--DIY

nope you can`t i talked to guy at edge and he said no it doesn`t have that feature but i know for sure that my truck 2003 supercrew 5.4 4x4 fx4 has a sensor because i had a diablo predator and it told me what the tranny temp was and i told the edge guy that and he told me, they might make a code for that certain function but he wasn`t sure so it sounds like me i`m going to have to buy a A-pillar pod and install a mechanical trans gauge, from what i get they have false advertisement

It's not false adv but an error on the part of whoever compiled the book.
Then the webpage just copied the info.
They are not very quick to correct these little things.
That's why there is alpha and beta testing.

How long did it take you guys to get your money back from Edge. I screwed the pooch and hooked mine up right before a big trip cause I was towing a trailer and of course it screw the truck up (again I didn't get an e-mail telling me there was a problem). Anyway I e-mailed Rob and asked what to do......no reponse so I scanned my receipts and e-mailed them to him.

Just trying to see how long this will take cause I didn't have the $139.95 to spend on this money is real tight right now.

Also anyone want to buy a beta version programmer I know where there is one for sale cheap

Did it screw it up by note returning it to stock? What do you want for it? I signed up for the Beta test but never got any responses from Rob after I sent him my computer info. Did anyone else wind up in the same position?
