It is possible that Edge could have a downloadable firmware update to allow the restoration of the Truck Stock setup but I really don't know.
As most users I would love to have more info on all the operating and systems parameters applicable to our Edge units but this forum is helping to build the knowledge base of all.

Ok guys, here's the latest problem. Today when I went to get the boat, I put it on 87 Tow Tune. Before I did that, I went and started playing with the custom options. Well, when I went to done, it locked up. I unpluged it, and its ok.

I'm doing level 2 with 89 octane and 2 degrees advance, and didn't notice a big difference over the regular level 2.
Guys, the unit locked up again when I was going to program 91 Perf with custom options. It lets me select the custom things, but when I get hit enter on DONE, it freezes. No loading screens, nothing. Just freezes on the custom options. Again, I unplug, and it's fine. Loads the tunes no problem, only without the custom options.

Shift firmness is just fine at this level but I might try to further adjust the actual shift points, moving the shift point lower, shifting to a higher gear sooner as this suits my driving style. I am curious to see if I can get the truck to lug down much like a manual tranny when you stay in the high gear down to slower mph. Of course as long as the WOT downshifts still occur when needed
.I was playing today a bit and I noticed the IMPG display would stop at 30+ when you pull off the throttle and coast to red light well ahead. Don't see that # too often do we ?
Had a bit of extended idiling today as well and the AMPG does continue to function as it slowly went down while the kids cooled off at a local park. Kind of infectious to keep watching the Edge.
Had a lockup today as well, I was creating a custom tune with engine running and the Edge on and I finished and when I moved the icon to "done" the edge refused to moved from that screen. I just unpluged the Edge and reconnected all while the engine was still running and the custom program seemed to be lost. Redid the tune and the Edge worked fine. Display asked to shut the engine off and it programmed just fine.
Here is a question. Does anyone know how to poll the Edge to see/view the base assumptions of the preprogrammed tunes ?
How does the Edge know our stock rear gear ratio ?
Some F150 could have the 3:31 or the 3:55 stock right. When we do a custom tune I noticed mine initially has a 3:31 gear ratio as a start point but I actually have a 3:55 in the truck as delivered stock.
Heat / Display
I am having issues when the inside of my truck is hot.
I live in TX and my truck sits outside all day long .. Easy 200 degrees inside. When I start my truck the display is just totally green. After about 10 min it slowly dimms to a readable output. Sometimes the displays shifts where half the display is on top part of the screen and the rest is on the bottom. I have only noticed display problems when the inside of the truck is real hot. I have tried un-plugging -plugging it in and that didn't help , but at least it keeps my current performance setting.

im also spending my summer in tx. i have one of those dorky tin foil looking sun shades and it keeps my cab temp at most 10-15 above ambient, my tuner does fine. you should try it out if the dork factor doesn tturn you away
Sorry .. that is too much of a dork factor for me. I got remote start and climate control in all my vehicles so I shouldn't have to worry about the heat. The Edge just doesn't like it. I will call Rob tommorrow and find out if anyone else has this issue or if it has been tested.
