im also waiting for my rob-call. are you sure hes supposed to be calling us back? the guy near the bottom of hte last page says they are probably editing or re doing the code line by line (which makes sense to me) which means they could be workin for a while

 

That's what the receptionist lady told me. I called her a few minutes ago, and she says that she doesn't know where he is, so I'm leaving him alone. Something's up. You call them. 888-360-edge ...press 0 and tell the lady that you're a beta tester and Chris told you to call. She'll probably get a kick out of it... Post back and tell me what you hear...

 

Anyone try updating their Edge today? A new version of Lightning was released today. I installed it and plugged in my Edge and it tells me that it is unable to determine the model.

 

I gave up about 2 weeks ago! I really don't want to lose my stock tune, so I quit monkeying with the updates.

 

I got an email from Rob today saying I need to hook up to my computer, retrieve the stock tune and then email it to him. Then I'm going to have to send the unit back them. Not sure if this applies to all, but it probably does. The biggest problem is my unit isn't recognized by the lighting software. Not sure how that's going to work?

 

Hey guys, maybe you've already covered this (on one of the now 17 pages of this forum) but when are they saying that the full version of theis new tuner is going to be available to the rest of us power hungry 97-03 fools?

I see that the Edge website says they're shipping now, but is that the final version or just a Beta tester? I can't believe you all have the full version and are still having this much trouble with them.--DIYM

 

None of us have the full version.

 

They are hiding in their secret underground hideout apparently because all of the beta testers are having problems and none of us (that I know of) have heard a word from Edge as to what we are supposed to do. So I have a hard time believing they are ready to ship the full version yet.

As for e-mailing stock tune I am sure mine is gone........tempted to unplug it and go to the dealer and have them reprogram my PCM and then see if edge fixes the problem.

 

I have NO e-mails from Rob. So I guess he just wants yours..

 

I have no emails from Rob either. I went to drive my truck today and the truck started fine, but the Edge would not come on. I unplugged the cable from the Edge and the OBDII port multiple times with no success. The about halfway through my ride it cut on and started over with the warnings and hex code again. Could this be a problem with my truck or is it the Edge?

 

That's what mine did, well sort of. It just didn't on, but I didn't unplug it till Rob said that was the only option. When I plug it back in it came on and started over, but my stock tune was gone.

 

We DO NOT have the final release versions. We have beta versions. There are a number of places that are advertising them, but the units are not yet shipping.

 

I just had a PCM reflash yesterday (unrelated to the testing). I haven't been able to upload, so it really didn't matter. I do have it back in and am using it as a monitor.

PCM reflash will cost you $89. I'm glad I did it - the truck drives so much better now. From what I see on my Edge, my mileage has improved with the reflash.
