PCM reflash will cost you $89. I'm glad I did it - the truck drives so much better now. From what I see on my Edge, my mileage has improved with the reflash.
Why did you have it reflashed? Are you not planning on running the tunes from Edge?

Everybody is not a computer wiz but what all should realize is that the executive program that runs the options in the tuner has a problem.
Until this is worked out and a procedure to get that program into the tuners and into the hands of Beta testers, you can only wait.
My question is 'what happened to the Alpha testing'. They (alpha testing) should have run into these problems before the Beta release.
Someone made a major screw-up.

I had the reflash due to extreme power loss in high temps. Went to Phoenix a couple weeks ago and in the 110+ heat the truck had no power. Found a TSB related to that and it suggested a reflash as they have revised the tune for high temps (like 130+ IAT).

I totally intend to run the Edge tunes.

I bet my truck would GREATLY benefit from that reflash. It SUCKS when the weather gets hot. The edge helped a lot, but a reflash might do more.... I agree with you, when my IAT's get to 120 or 130+ my truck won't hardly move. (figuratively of course)

If there's a TSB related to it, it should have been free.

Nope. That is a myth. The dealership tried to get it covered under my extended warranty as a drivability issue, but software updates of the computer are not covered. They said that most TSB's are not covered by warranty - the only ones they have been able to cover are when parts are bad and need replaced. If the PCM had to be replaced, they could have covered it. EDIT - I should qualify this more by saying that I'm talking about coverage under an extended warranty. If you are still under your initial factory warranty, then most TSBs are covered. The TSB itself will tell the dealer if it is covered or not.

Fanuc -
Check this thread - https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=242650

All the info is there. Reflash was $89, and the six (6) body plugs were about $40. The body plugs are on order, so they are not installed yet. I'm very happy with the reflash - the truck runs A LOT better. My wife even commented on how good it was running - she thought I got one of the Edge tunes uploaded!

Emissions Performance Warranty

This would also be covered under the Emissions Performance Warranty
for 8 years/80,000 miles.

Nope. This is not emissions related.

If you look at the TSB it states:

WARRANTY STATUS: Eligible Under The Provisions Of Bumper To Bumper Warranty Coverage And Emissions Warranty Coverage

I got an email from Rob at 10:30 this morning saying that they were going to try one more thing to allow us to update the Evolutions online and retrieve our stock program. If that fails he is going to contact all of the testers and have them return the units to be reprogammed.
