now are these rebates applied to our credit/debit cards or mailed to us?


is the beta over even though there are still problems? have there been any new updates? im not even willing to unplug and update mine because i finally GPS'ed the correct tire size by fiddling with the gear ratio. . . . i dont even want to mess with it again

I am still having a problem with mine. Everytime I crank the engine it goes blank but the background(green) light stays on even with the engine on. If I disconnect and reconnect it with the engine running it works fine. I just got off the phone with Tech support and they are clueless. Told me there would not be a fix until October! Also said last update was in June. I have a call in to Rob but I am not optimistic about a return call.

I called tech support today, and they want for me to send my unit in for them to try and fix the problem. I also sent Rob another email.

No $50 credit credit applied to my CC at this time. (Checked Online).

I will contact Rob and report back.

No credit card activity here since 9/25 either, and it wasn't an incoming $50 payment. I sent Rob (another) email the other day. Still hasn't replied. ^*&^%%*&^&*^)

I bought an evolution from 4wheelparts (they were having an instant rebate on edge products) at the beginning of last month and installed it no problem. I am running it on level 3 with no custom options. But I am having some problems and here they are...

-Cant downlaod updates. says "unable to locate update version file" I have uninstalled and reinstalled lighting several times like I have read on here. tech support said they will call me back about this.

-Cannot change tire size (I know this is a problem for everyone. tech support says update will be out in a few weeks)

-When I change to bar graphs, the monitor shuts off.

-When I try to change the splash screen I get an "illegal operation" notice and lightning shuts down

-If I go into custom options on the software and upload it to the monitor, it says complete. but when I plug into my truck nothing has changed.

Has anyone had these same problems and been able to fix them? BTW I have a 01' 4.6 if that makes any difference...

If you recieved it with the latest program then I would think there is no updates to down load load.
I don't use bar graphs but would rather see numbers as it is quicker to interpet what's happening.
I have the Beta test version and it throws around all the parameter without a problem.
I was calling up data streaming on the run to try and trap the results of a problem I was having..
Then hook to my PC and print out the graph results.
I can change loading screens, color rendition, and contrast as well as change the bightness, all ok.
When re-connection in the truck, the init screen will come up. Give it about 30 seconds then call up the menu and go from there.
It should 'auto' turn on and off with the ignition switch after that.

True, i do believe i have the latest tune, but i cant even connect to the lightning software server is the problem. it wont even tell me there is no tune available like it says it should in the manual.
i also only use the number boxes but i was just seeing what options came with the tuner and noticed it completely shuts off after selecting bar graphs. i guess since i dont use it though its no big deal. all other features like color, brightness, which parameters to display all work fine. just when graph is selected is there a problem.
ive used the date stream that works fine, but as far as the software goes, that is the only thing that seems to work.
i have been questioning though, my computer im using for the software. since i just started college i got the old family computer. which, in turn only has windows 98se. is anyone using this? or am i the only one and is it just to ice age for the lighting software?

There are some things going on in the background that i'm sure are contributing to the overall sitution/problems as brought up in this thread.

The EDGE PRODUCTS Co. has been bought by the famed MSD Co.
They are now in the throws of internal change.
The website will change, personel will change, jobs and duties, come and go.
The instruction book has errors, omissions and needs improvement just like many recent publications.
I found that my e-mails were going to some other employee,s 'inbox' instead of Rob's etc, etc.
Hint; some of these companies are now on other boards with their products and get spread a little thin, so you see the effects and not know why.
Young americans always want is all and now, until they find out life just dosn't work 'that well', after putting on some age and lifes' experiences.

oh i damn well agree with you. i still feel this is a beta product NOT prepared for full release. i have no pity for anybody who purchases it and intends on having a fully functioning product . . i think ive given enough warning on this board and others.
