I read that on the zapco site, i think it's on the front page and in their forums.

I know kick panels always sucked up some power cause they would end up kinda buried. Now if I only had some free time to play with my own stuff!! drool:
There is probably no need to run the same power to the center. Especially since the Alpine H701 has center level adjustment that allows you to turn it up quite a bit. The only reason I ran the same power all the way across the front was I had the power to do so and all the speakers were identical. I have not decided if I am going to put a 6 1/2" Chameleon as the center channel. I have a pair of ID coaxials on order and more than likely, that will be the center speaker and I will reduce the power to around 50 watts or so.

BTW....Step in to the 21st century you guys. Stereo is dead, 5.1 is King. Totally joking. I rarely listen to 5.1. 2 fronts and sub baby.

You are correct. Lots of talk going around on the forums about this. Zapco apparently goes to great links to hide some of the serial numbers and people are still finding them and removing them. But good grief, woofersetc is selling the amps for half of what a dealer wants for them. Hard to not just take a chance.

And thats my problem...I cant find a good affordable amp that does 2k watts at 2 ohm for both the Mags. The Mag I got from you is still sitting on my floor, I havent even hooked it up once, I just stare at it a little bit evertime I walk into the bedroom
It seems like if I do find something nice that does about 2000 watts for a nice price it's at 1 ohm or some crap. If SI made a dual 4 version I would probably have an amp by now and running both Mags.

What the heck can I get that does 2kwrms at 2 ohm for around 450ish bucks? No IA 20.1 or Sundownz crap that everyone else with a pair of Mags seems to be running.

Here you go:

I know they are more than you listed but, just a couple I spotted quickly.

Thanks for the links Douglas.

Bry, Im on the 50 yardline, 1st row, right behind the bench. Ill be able to tell the coach and players what to do...How you like that, HUUHHH??? lol

Haha, and yes, I HAVE seen that thing. Looks fun...I would probably loose a hand in it though...plus I would just make craploads of random stuff and hang them all over my wall, so I would just have wierd designs nailed all over my walls.

Smitty, if you give me your address, then its not me who subscribed you to Playgirl and Successful Farming
Now why would I want to get the same magazines in the mail as you You might like sausagefest mag but you dont have to bring me into your fruity little world

Goddang I know I said I didnt want Sundownz, but there is a 1500 and a 100.2 for 550 bucks.

Two amps that would work great on my stereo, and that I can actually afford...

But isn't the 1500 rated at 1500 @ 1 ohm? I guess you could strap 2 of them together for 3k @ 2ohm.

Well, the Contours should be sold and picked up today. Someone local buying them. I also am selling the 5150 and probably the 2100. I am sticking with Arc. I am keeping my 2500 and running my Chameleons with 525 watts @ 2ohms (talk about headroom). And I am trying to find another 2500 or 1500 for the subs and a 4050 for the rear and center. Running full bore, it would be pushing over 2K watts but, I know I will never be close to that. Heck, I use a 70 amp fuse at the battery now and have never blown it. Its my safety measure.

Holy cow. Listed my 5150 for sale and in an hour it was sold and paid for. That has got to be a record. I am trying to work a deal on a 1500 right now as I type.

Sundowns says they are ok to run a pair of Mags at .5 ohm on one, and it does 1800+ watts I believe they say.
I never though of getting two of them strapped
3000 watts between the Mags...Hmmm, yes...yes. I like

1050 watts total just on your front stage, your crazy
