Moved to Texas, Had to Buy a 2013 F150 King Ranch
Look what showed up today

So one thing to note, there was no manual included with the SCT X4. Not sure if there isn't one, or someone messed up. So I had to jump right in. I hopped in the truck, took the Diablo tune off, and plugged in the SCT. First impression: this thing is FAST! It boots up, backs up, and writes a tune probably 3x faster than the Diablo Intune. The LED screen is awesome and navigation is extremely fast. I connected it to my wifi just to make sure there were no updates. Then, I put the 87 Performance/Tow tune on it. I looked through the settings and I noticed it said that the tire size was "stock size." Not being sure if it was written into the tune (I specified tire size on the calibration sheet), I went ahead and wrote the tune. It took about 4 minutes to write and I was ready to give her hell. Immediately I noticed this was a brand new truck. Seriously night and day difference. I also quickly noticed that the speedo was dead on (awesome job 5 Star
). Throttle response is better, get up and go is better, and I noticed it stays in 5th gear now around town. I then jumped on the highway to let her loose. Man, just awesome. Soooooo much better than what I have been driving around with. And this is just the 87 tune. I am going to run this tank of gas down and probably try a tank of 93 after this.
For anyone contemplating this setup...DO IT!!

It all depends on the size you want. The reason it probably says it is unavailable is because it is going by your stock size (275/55R20), which they don't offer in the Trail Grappler. If you want to go bigger (depending on how big), you may need to level/lift. I got the 295/60R20 and have a 2" level. I still rub at full lock on the UCA. I think the smallest size tire for a 20" wheel that they offer is 275/65R20. I "think" you might be able to fit those without a level/lift.
Excuse my ignorance but what does full lock on the uca mean?
Meaning that when I turn my wheel all the way one way or the other, my tires slightly rub the Upper Control Arm (UCA). Not something I am concerned with as I rarely, if ever, need to turn my wheel all the way in each direction.
I would imagine so. I did a lot of research before deciding on the level and tires and I did notice mixed results from different people. Some guys with the exact same setup truck had rubbing while others didn't. But yes, I would say your results would be similar. If you can, try to find a tire shop that is willing to "test fit" two of the tires up front before you have any obligation to purchase. That was the deal I had with my tire shop and they were fine with it. In fact, they said they wouldn't even mount them if they didn't feel comfortable themselves with the fit. This is all assuming that you are keeping your stock wheels as well. Anything aftermarket changes the game altogether. Different backspacing and offsets play a factor as far as fitting goes at that point.
AWSOME glad to hear you like the x4. Now I'm defiantly sold on it and for sure will be my next investment. Can't wait! When you ordered did u tell them the metric tire size or what nittos specifications were?

Glad to see your liking the tuner, ill be monitoring the thread to see how ya like it. I assume you can't buy these things used as they are specified to your ride?
^get an Autospring level. Pretty sure that's what he has too.
The X4s are brand new, so there won't be any used ones. But older ones, like the X3, can be unlocked (i.e. reset) and used again.

I gave them both the metric size and the actual dimensions from Nitto's website. Also, when I spoke to John from Stage 3, he said that Mike (5 Star) would know the Trail Grapplers anyway. But I would put as much info as you can.
good deal and good idea, I will go that route. I assume you got the lift done first, did you do it from the same company or different.

Hmmm...not sure. I didn't actually get to play with it that much last night. I would imagine that whoever writes the custom tunes would be able to do that even if there isn't a setting in the SCT itself.
It is pretty sweet. I've only ever messed with Hypertech
and Diablo. This is so far superior it is not even funny. And so far the 5 Star 87 Performance/Tow tune is amazing. My drive to work this morning was like having a brand new truck. Even with the bigger tires, this thing now drives better than when it was stock.

Is this what you got for a level

Also, is the x4 a major upgrade over the 3 thats worth the big price jump from used?
