Also, is the x4 a major upgrade over the 3 thats worth the big price jump from used?

From what I understand, the X4 is a MAJOR upgrade over the X3. The X4 has an LED screen and other reviews I've read note that they boot and upload tunes about 3x faster. And I can definitely say it is fast at booting and loading.
No, that is the complete level/lift kit. That would keep your factory rake, but raise everything 2 1/2". I went with just the 2" front spacer here: http://autospringcorp.com/index.php?...products_id=20

I still have the same wheels (stock). If you mean tires, then no. I put the level on 12 hours before having the new tires installed, so no pics of the level with the stock tires. You'll look fine driving around for a while without new tires. I wouldn't worry about that.
Meant tires, yea...Brand new set of Dynapro Hankook on, which I like fine. As long as they look ok for the time being ill just need to find someone to install the level.
Did your brother in law do it alone or did you give him a hand? What was the install time?

My brother-in-law works at an auto mechanic shop. They don't do level or lift installs or anything of that nature. He did it as a hook-up in the shop. I wasn't allowed to help him because it was during business hours on the shop floor. I watched most of the install though. He did 90% of it himself and had another guy give him a hand when needed. It took him about 1 1/2 hours. He was taking his time too.
I was prepared to do everything myself to save on install cost. But when I talked to my brother-in-law, he said he could do it for $43. It was worth that $43 to have someone else do it. I also had to get an alignment done at another shop for $59. If I was doing it, it would have been in my garage with bottle jacks and limited working space. For what it is worth, I called local places to have them quote installs. Most places wanted between $150-$300. Some places would only install the levels that they sold.

Huh, that's weird. Certainly couldn't run around with only high beams. I would think there's a sequence you can do to turn them off, but maybe not. You can turn the entry headlights, seat belt warning, etc. off on mine. And the new ones have a ton of options.
More (most likely) dumb questions incoming, I checked out the sct and it said gains were around 50HP, 100 torque. Question 1 is that noticeable and question 2 I know at one time you seemed a bit worried about warranty issues, what made you change your mind
I was initially worried about warranty just because it was a brand new truck. I put the tires on and hoped the dealership could recalibrate the speedo (like they swore up and down they could). After they couldn't I knew I couldn't deal with the speedo and shift points being that far off. My latest switch from Diablo to custom tunes was solely based no the reviews I was reading about custom tunes and their distinct advantage over canned tunes. So I decided to make the leap. I just had this conversation on another forum and here are a few of the points that I made:
1.) Think of the amount of F150's on the road and how many have actually had powertrain warranty issues. I'd venture to guess it would be less than 5% of owners.
2.) The tune itself is HIGHLY unlikely to cause the problem by itself. The only problem would be an actual issue with the powertrain itself which could have the warranty denied just because you happen to have a tuned PCM.
3.) This is my 4th F150. I've had an '86, '05, '10, and now '13. NONE of them have had powertrain problems. My '86 is the only one I had to do maintenance on because, well I owned it from 2003-2005 and it was old.
