Welp...ignore that last post. I've decided against the tow mirrors. I think I want to retain the power fold feature on my current mirrors. So instead, I've decided to get a new exhaust. I said in the past that I didn't think this truck needed a better sounding exhaust as it's pretty decent from the factory. Buuuttttt, I couldn't resist. I just ordered the Solo Performance MR400, 4" Single-Exit Cat Back w/ the Mach-46 muffler from Stage3. I went with the addition of the Mach-46 to keep the sound down a little. After reading reviews, this seems to be the best sounding exhaust for the 5.0 and Solo's reputation is awesome. I had been considering a Borla, but for nearly half the price, I was able to get the Solo. Can't wait to put this thing on!

Sounds good! I have a Banks Monster Exhaust sitting in the bed of my truck waiting for spring to install. I wonder how they compare?

I was the same way, I wanted the tow mirrors and was about to trade with a member on here for his tow mirrors. The wife slapped the side of the carport with my mirror so i had to call off the deal.. After alot of thinking i decided against the tow mirrors and just ended up ordering a replacement for the one that was broke.

Off subject but did you by chance order that dash cam?

So I'm considering having the EVOX-R projector upgrade done by raptroretrofit.com. As much as I would LOVE saving money and doing this myself, I don't have the guts to crack open my stock heads to do this myself. In fact, most of you know I tried to open the stock heads off of my '10 and failed miserably. Anyway, in trying to make my decision easier on the extremely expensive mod, I am trying to gauge interest on my stock HID heads. I'll eventually post in the for sale section, but I figured I'd post here too. I'd be looking to get around $900 for them, with bulbs, ballasts, etc. Everything someone would need to upgrade their 09+ halogens minus the H13 adapter harness. I see brand new heads with bulbs, ballats, etc. on ebay for upwards of $1200. The truck has 2,700 miles on it currently. The heads are about in as good of shape as you would imagine a new vehicle with that many miles to have. The only stipulation would be that I couldn't sell/ship them until I got my new heads. The current lead time for raptorretrofits is 3-4 weeks. I wouldn't ask for payment until they ship. If anyone is interested, please post here or shoot me a PM. Thanks!

You can see more pics of the heads in this thread, but here is one just for reference:

Thanks DewserB! To be honest, I think your truck is one of my favorites on here. So I guess we can admire each other pics then

Exhaust is supposed to be here Friday, but I guess it could be delayed due to the crazy weather everywhere. I will definitely post a video when I get it on there. If you go to Stage3's website, they have a demo of it that is pretty sweet. Thanks for the compliments, again.

Just ordered some WeatherTech mud flaps for the front and back. The only reason I've been holding off is because I wasn't sure if they would fit with the bigger tires. Finally decided to pull the trigger and find out. Should be here Saturday. So it will be a slightly awesome weekend adding a new exhaust and mud flaps

Well, the Solo exhaust showed up yesterday. Here is what it the truck sounds like stock:

So I did the install in my driveway, with no lift or jacks, and some wrenches. While I did prove that this is possible (even without cutting up the old exhaust to get it out) it would have been much easier with one other person and/or a lift. Total install took about 2 1/2 hours. But, it sounds AMAZING!! I can't believe how good it sounds actually. It's exactly what I wanted. I'm really glad I went with the addition of the Mach-46 muffler though because it is already decently loud when you get on it. At cruising speeds, you can barely hear it. A little rumble is all. Notice the difference in the size of the exhaust tip between the two videos. This 4 1/2 inch tip looks so BA. Especially with the larger tires. 110% satisfied. These videos don't do it justice, but here ya go!

Zero drone in the cab. In this video it's a little hard to tell because you can hear the wind when I get up to speed. But all you hear when cruising is a slight rumble.

And here are some pics just for fun:

I have 4" tips, but that looks almost like a diesel tip! I really like it

Snapped a couple of photos today. You can see the WeatherTech mud flaps I put on the back and the side view of the exhaust tips. Plus she's clean for a few days and I've gotta take advantage of the 2 or 3 days after a wash/wax that she will actually stay clean. Man, keeping a black truck clean is rough.
