Yeah I have the 4 led dome as well... massive difference

 

I just ordered both the 194 5-LED Hi-Po 6k map lights and the 211 4-LED Hi-Po 6k dome lights from V-LEDs.....w/ the 15% coupon!!!
the Dome light is back ordered still.....but they shipped my map light LEDs!

 

hey man that link goes to a angled bulb, i just got those and put them in mine and they seem to be pointing up a little. are yours like this? its daylight out, so i cant tell, but did you put those flat ones in your plate lights or the normal round ones with leds on all sides? all 04-08 f150s have the same liscence plate bulbs right?

the way the clip orients i cant get them to face the plate directly.

it might work fine, its not dark yet so i cant tell.

The fit/install was easy and fine, but I'm a little dissapointed with the output, I really thought it'd be brighter. They are much cleaner/blue light but I would hesitate to say it is actually brighter.

Oh well it looks cool and was cheap

 

Sorry I never got around it only because I didn't think enough people were interested. But I'll go ahead and do a write-up this weekend. It won't be extremely detailed as there isn't much too it, but I'll make it as detailed as possible.

 

V-LED's has the 211 lights in.....just got notification that they shipped mine.

It is quite a bit brighter on the plate.. but just cleaning it out helped some too.

 

i am planning on tinting my tail lghts and getting LEDs to brighten it up. Just debating if i should get red LEDs or white LEDs. Which do you think will shine brighter through the tinting?? Obviously the white is a brighter light but i guess my question is which will be more pernounsed through the tinting?? The brighter the better with the brake lights especially!!!!!

 

I believe I read some where that whatever color lends you are running to run that color bulb. I think it was on V-LEDs.com but I am not sure. It said red light would show better through a red lends and so on for amber and other colors. Wish I could rember where I read that.

 

Does anyone know if V-Leds is still selling 5 watt 194s? When I did a search it doesn't look like they have them anymore? The 5 watts put out a ton of light and don't just change the color from yellow to white.

 

I just placed my order for map lights and dome light.
The part number 211 20 W for the 20 led dome light was sold out so I got HO 4 led instead. Hopefully my combo will work out and look ok.

Sorry if you answered before, but are these the angled bulb's with the single LED's? Looks like it shines a bit more evenly on the plate than other pics.

 

my angled led liscence plate bulbs dont aim at the plate exactly right, still works, just doesnt aim right at the plate.

 

As far spaced away in the very small housings these trucks plate lights are its impossible to get it perfectly on the plate.
