If you are tinting tails, you want to get good bulbs. Here is a pic of how much brighter leds are in my tinted tails.

ok but seriously $60 for 2 bulbs?! I'd rather put the nightshade money and some extra cash towards are set of led tail light assemblies...

hey darkshadow, what 3 bulbs did you use for the 3rd brake light?

Third brake light bulbs are sold out, I can't even access the link for them.
I know, these bulbs cost quite a bit but they are on sale now. It took me a while to wait for coupons and sales to convince myself to buy them. I paid $70 for the taillight bulbs and $55 for the front turn signal switchbacks. After buying them and seeing the difference, I can justify spending what I did. Just my .02

I'm most likely going to end up with the led bulbs you posted for my tails. A little on the salty side, but I don't mind paying a little to be sure my taillights are nice and bright. What are you using for your reverse lights? Since I nightshaded my tails the stock reverse lights are pretty worthless.

And are the brake lights plug and play?? Or is there something else that needs done to them since they function as turn signals as well?

The brake lights themselves are plug and play. Do you have front led turn signals right now? If not then since you would be getting led turns, you need a new flasher or resistors to fix hyperflashing. The flasher I used is http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...ci_sku=5060001 It will fix hyperflashing whether you have just the rear turns in leds, just front turns or both.
Which reverse light are you referring to? In the tails I have Vleds bulbs, sold out so no link. Light bar is Recon Xtreme led lightbar. Lower aux lights are $18 Walmart driving lights, Burners or something like that.

Did that guy with the lights in his bed ever do a write up? I've been really wanting something to light the bed of my truck but that doesn't look obnoxious. I really liked that setup.

Thanks for the response. No, I don't have leds for front turn signals. How does that resistor you linked work, what do you plug it into? As for the reverse lights, I'm simply looking for something to replace the bulb in the stock taillight assembly that is MUCH brighter. After nightshading I really lost a bunch of useable light from the stock reverse lights. I'll start a separate thread to keep from clogging this one up with questions about reverse lights.

As far as the interior led conversion goes, I finally got my interior kit from V-LED today and all I can say is WOW. Definitely worth the $20 or so bucks!!!!!

Anyone have the current coupon code for V-LEDS?

"jingle" doesn't seem to work any longer.

Not the best pictures, but you can see how much brighter and cleaner looking the leds are than the stock map lights. Leds on the left, stock bulbs on the rights.

The 4-LED dome light and my 194 map light LED match perfectly. They are also much brighter than the factory bulbs. I wouldn't want to go any brighter than these LED's provide. You will have to pinch the dome light terminals together a bit to get a secure hold on the LED bulb, but other than that it's perfect.
