The Dome LEDs that Darren posted are sold out, will the 4-LED put out even close to the amount that the 20-LED will. BTW my truck is 08 scab.

ended up ordering the 6411 12-LED, instead of the 578 4 LED for the dome light

Just FYI, but V-LEDS website shows the 578 4 leds as being brighter than the 6411 12 led.

The 4 leds are usually the hi-power ones and yes, they are much brighter than regular power ones. My 2 or 3 led hi power dome is much brighter than my previous 20 led bulb.

I promise you, there is no reason to need more than the 4-opt led for the dome light. It is bright, and combined with the map lights means theres no problem seeing anything in the dark.

I literally just now installed the 4-LED lights in my front map lights, and I will agree with the above. Anything more would be overkill.

I spend time reading in my truck using the map light, and I am looking forward to not squinting any more in the dim incandescent light.

I have two LED bulbs that contain 13LEDs each and it lights up everything in my XLT cloth interior well. I would not call it overkill, but perfect. Some people with sensitive eyes get surprised by the instant brightness though which is a downfall to them.

I think you're misunderstanding a bit. The newer 4-pot LED's use much more powerful (larger) LED's than the previous models which used smaller LED's in greater quantity to produce the light. It's kind of akin to: do you want 10 lamps with 40w bulbs, or do you want 4 lamps with 100W bulbs? Just getting the same (or similar) light output in a smaller package with less complexity.

Sorry, can you provide a link to the kit? I can't seem to find it on their website.
