Puddle lights are what they are called, just as MRLSU2U said. Rednoved bought these on pg 25.

Hey what # are the license plate light bulbs? I had bought a pair of 194's from V-LED's but they are to long to fit in the hole. There website said that they are the 194's. At least I thought so. I know some of you had gotten some.

The license plate bulbs are 194s. Which ones did you order? Maybe you ordered a pair that is just too long and since our sockets are so small to begin with, those bulbs just won't fit. I have seen that people have bought the flank style bulbs which I believe are smaller than the others.

I bought part# 194 13 SMT W 6K, White6K. They light up but were going on and off when I was trying to put the socket back in the hole. They are almost twice as long. I bought a pair of 194's for the map lights also and they work great but those were the same length as the stock ones? So I dont know....

It looks like you bought the longest 194s that they have. Any of the flanks will work best because the leds are on the side only. I bought these http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED/D...87987-1-2.html because I wanted a pair brighter than my previous led ones and they don't work well because only like 1 led shows through since the leds are on the end of the bulb. The bulbs I just posted the link for appear to be the longest you can have that will fit in our sockets and the ones you bought are supposedly 6mm longer.

I think these ones might work better - http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/C...81039-1-2.html
They are only 27mm long compared to the ones I bought at like 33mm. I emailed V-LED's just havent heard back from them.

That is the first pair that I bought. They work for sure.

I would think they should exchange the bulbs for you but I'm not sure. If they only knew how many sales they get from this site, they would have no problem with it. Just my .02

So were those not bright enough for you or what? Why did you want different ones, anything wrong with them?

Nothing wrong with them at all. I got them before the website started using the star brightness ratings. Once they started using brightness ratings, they were rated only 3 stars where the second pair I bought were 5 stars. I have since put those back in and I'm using them now. I think I'll put the brighter ones in my headlights for my corner/parking bulbs once I finish putting my headlights together.

Hi guys, I am a proud newbie F150 owner and also new to this forum. This is a great community you have here. As I was looking around, I found this thread, so like many others, I just ordered my LEDs for the map and dome lights from v-leds.com. Out of interest, I actually read through all 36 pages of this thread.

In addition to the original discussions by DarrenWS6 and Carolinaboy32, I found this one by rednoved to be extremely helpful, so I am quoting it here just to bump it for anyone else reading through looking for the current LED recommendations.

Cheers guys and glad to be on board!

The Dome Light I purchased isn't available through them right now. It was the 20 LED version.

Here is an option for the dome light a few people have purchased. It has HP bulbs, so it should be pretty bright. All of my exterior LEDs are HP bulbs, and they put out some light.
