Which exact ones did you get? About time I did this but there's like 4 that fit each spot and prices all over the place. Would've just gotten the one's Darren did originally if they made 'em

When I get them and make sure they fit Ill post up. I don't want to add to the confusion if they don't work. Fingers crossed...

I got my bulbs installed and they are great. My interior pics look like the ones already posted, plus the pics don't do the bulbs justice. Here's what I ordered for 05 FX4 Screw with overhead rail storage.
I needed 2 front map lights and 2 rear map lights. Part # 194_4_HPF_W_6K (Flank)
Also got 1 dome light for the rear. Part # 6418_3_W_6K. ( 3 LEDs)

KMAC, order them up! The light is very white, brighter and makes the truck look so much cleaner and better.

I don't have any photos available, but a year ago I put Retro Solutions LEDs in my maps & dome. Their website is being difficult but I got a link to the festoon.
http://retro-solutions.net/product-i...bs-pid692.html

They work, and are nice. Not super bright, but definitely a better color tone than filament. Almost equal output as filament, maybe 10% less. My only real issue is they aren't 5000k white like I wanted, more of a 6000k. I felt too cheap to buy 5000k bulbs from V-leds.com. I may order some one day, but it just isn't worth while for a truck that sits more than anything.

Sweet! That sounds perfect and I think I have yet another tiny mod that will get done before Thanksgiving. I'm gonna get the same ones in 5k. I'll probably get some license plate and cargo ones too. Thanks for being my guinea pig lol

Does the rail system have a different dome than a normal truck? And you've got 2 rear map lights in addition to the dome?

Darren, you didn't wanna cough up the 3 extra dollars?

I have 2 map lights in the front, and the rear has 2 map lights and one dome. Why 5K? Curious...

Oh huh, that's a lot of lights! 4300k is the "brightest"/"purest" temp and the further you deviate from it, the more light you lose due to color tinting. Like 20k HIDs that are purple and other weird colors actually put off a low amount of light. That's my understanding anyway. So I figure that applies to these LEDs as well as all lights, and I want the most light I can get. But 5k versus 6k is honestly a toss up to me and either is perfectly fine. I'm debating between the two. I think 6k is supposed to have an ever so slight tint of light blue. Also, I have to get reverse lights because of my tint, and they're gonna be 5k for max light output and I want all of them to match if possible. 6k definitely gives a larger selection though . . .

I see. If you order the reverse bulb let me know if they are brighter. I'll order those in 5K.

As far as reverse lights, LEDs in them will only look more pretty. Filament bulbs are your brightest bet for the stock housings. Otherwise, if your looking for light output when backing up, rig up fog lights under your bumper to activate when in reverse.

Thanks! I've been told that. I've got a set of lights in my toolbox waiting to be installed on my receiver, just been too lazy to put them on haha.

Will do, jaws

I decided to let Sandy Claws bring me the LEDs, so nearly 2 months after, I bought them and they're in! They're almost too bright too . . .

Thanks again Jaws! I got a pair for the license plate lights as well. Those I purposefully got a little dimmer, and I'm glad I did with how bright these suckers are. Now I'll be doing some cargos and I've decided that I'll be happy with my reverse aux lights for backing up, though I have seen a few super bright reverse bulbs in person and they do make a difference.

Interestingly, the much cheaper 194 bulbs fit in the cargo lights' sockets, so why bother with 921s? Especially when the new 914s are considerably brighter than stock still? Issue with handling power or something? I assume it's just because they need to be brighter, and it is quite useful to have very bright cargo lights. But I ain't spending $40 on two light bulbs!

Looks pretty good man. I think your maps and plate links are reverse though, or did you use the flanks as the maps?

I want those flanks for my plates, its just justifying the price for a vehicle hardly ever ran. Plus I want a leather wrap shifter and a Shaker 500 radio to replace my broke radio first.

V-LEDs cargo bulbs are crazy expensive. I ordered mine from SuperBrightLEDs.com and they were $18.99 for the pair and work perfectly.

I stuck with the 921 bulb # just for mental sakes. I fear messing up electrical stuff by using wrong size bulbs, but as it is, LEDs draw a quarter of the power needed by a filament, so I guess it wouldn't hurt anything. My cargos are useless anyway due to my Leer 700 cover. Planning some LED bars under rails with an on/off switch in the future.

Well I typed a lovely, long response and then my internet blipped when I posted it, so it went bye-bye . . . now to re-write it even longer!

I did use the flanks for the maps, did you use something different? Jaws used em and I'm happy with them even if they're wrong haha. And the license plate ones are straight-forward cause I don't think they had 5k flanks that were tiny enough.

I may get some from superbright then! Cause I do have the same fear with that and I don't have the patience to track down electrical gremlins I can't even see. Yours look super blue in that first pic! Both of those pics look really, really cool though for some reason.

Do the Shaker 500 and 1000 just plug right in? My dad has the 500 in his Mustang and it's much better than mine was. But then again I think mine was messed up because the radio reception got horrible when I went anywhere near Houston and it got real muddy and crackly above 3/8 volume but was perfectly clear below that. I thought the volume part was the speakers, but the new radio made them sound so good that I almost sent my new speakers back!

Is the bottom pic your 04 or the 07? I may put a bed rug BACK in, on top of my new spray-in way down the road, so I'm wondering if that's the 07. It's pretty dang dented up though!
