guys I am getting a 5.4 intake to test on my truck...

I will post both before and after dyno charts please wait until I get the intake and publish the results before you decide whether it is better or worse

I am gonna test it with the stock thorttle body, injectors, MAF and tune before I toss my 24#ers and custom tune back at it then i'll run some boost on it and see hoe it performs that way.

it may not work for everyone but I am sure it will work for many. see the results I post before you decide whether it works or not for our trucks

Thanks Jerame.
Finally scientific testing will be done.
r3dn3ck,
I don't hate you. I do question your methods though. I find amusing your F.U. all, but believe me attitude. You should send one of your truck manifolds to a magazine and ask them to test it. You would be far better served and then you would have some concrete data that we could evaluate.

JMC I'm trying to get muscle mustangs and fast fords to publish my write up as well, as long as HPS doesn't mind.

I am going to test it and then people can decide for themselves after looking at my results...

I am just waiting on the intake (Bob @ HPS told me they are making a new plenium so truck people can retain the stock throttle body and stuff wihtout modifying it to mustang parts in order to keep the intall cheaper and easier)

Tell HPS to leave some meat on the intake flange where the elbow would bolt up to and we can tap/port it to our own liking.

could you clarify with some details of your thoughts there?

i don't have an attitude... I came in as a fellow enthusiast being cool to other enthusiasts and you've all treated me with hostility, accusations and BS. I'm a customer of HPS notHPS employee so I can tell you all to get f'd and that's on me. I'll be leaving this to teraj and 01roush to take your juvenile BS from here on out.

Mods.. delete my account.

Jerame has my respect. You don't. But that is a mute point as you are leaving......

JMC

Just in case you haven't left the building.... Leave more metal in the hole where the throttle body elbow bolts up to. Some one with ½ a brain could mark and cut the opening and then drill and tap the holes for the truck elbow........ Or their own elbow.

Of course you don't have an attitude.

Run your mouth some more and see what happens. The only smart thing you have done since you have signed in here is to leave everything with 01 and Teraj.

Yes Mods, please do us all a favor.

Wow..... Some of you guys are really being jackasses......

The guy is here with a genuine attempt to help push a 5.4 performance part to market and to let people know about it. Its been made incredibly clear that testing will be done on a truck, but that it won't happen for some time as the first run of castings hasn't happened yet. In the meantime r3dn3ck comes back with some more information from his own setup just trying to share some information and gets nothing but ****. All the "its a Mustang, it doesn't matter" comments are just stupid, ITS A MODIFIED 5.4, IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT CHASSIS IT SITS IN. As if Comp 270 cams and ported heads are magically different in a 5.4 in a Mustang than in a truck.... Just about ANY 5.4 results are relevant, you learn things about combination, results, power peaks, etc..., its all good information....

JMC, the shapes are completely different, you aren't just going to drill and tap your way to a bolt-on....hence the adapter plate......

What magazine would that be? I know of exactly one truck oriented magazine that might publish such an article, and it comes out twice a year. With typical story lead times you might see it in ~9 months..... The interweb is the way to exchange info....which is whats being attempted here with little success....

Listen up you moron. Show some back to back tests or stick it up your but. I don't give rats **** if the pos makes 60000 hp on his set up. I want to see it side by side with a stock manifold. Anything else is just crap. When Jerame gets his results we will have the info we need to make an intelligent evaluation of this product. You sound like one of those vacuum salesman who suck up a bowling ball with their machine. If ever I need to suck on a bowling ball you'll be the first one I call. Till then FO!

HI!... DITTO! This is the most screwed up sales pitch for an intake manifold I have ever seen. Talk about going about it the totally WRONG way................

I want a manifold built for a truck. It has to improve performance of said truck. It has to fit my truck without adapters plates and new plenums etc. I want to see before and after results on a 5.4L truck before I spend any money. I believe Jerame is going to give us this data and I will patiently wait for it. Sorry Roush but a manifold built for a racing Mustang does not interest me for my truck. Application is everything.
R3dn3ck is doing HPS a disservice by alienating potential customers. He should just post facts without his attitude or shut up and go away.

This is what I don't get....anyone who types "Mustang" automatically puts "race" in with it.....well guess what.....the majority of those "race" Mustangs are people who just want a strong, fat, streetable powerband same as what we want in a truck...... I want a strong combo with a shift point of around 5800-6000, any higher and the piston speeds get way out there, and thats the same whether its for a truck or a Mustang. If you're looking at ported heads, cams, and an intake there really isn't much difference between the two....people who think there's some massive difference in what an intake manifold would look like are just way off base......
