New Intake manifold coming. Looking for those interested
Hey guys:
this is not an advertisement. promise.
Gist:
I wanted to share some product news with you guys and ask for anyone that's interested to send an email to the bob@hiperformancesolutions.com so he can show the folks bankrolling the tool-up that there's a market for his intake. You're not committing to anything. Just showing interest. No mailing lists. No spam.
Detail:
Mustang drivers are swapping to 5.4L 2v's in droves. This creates the market for a performance oriented intake manifold for those motors designed to work with the hotter aftermarket cam grinds available. We like the tq just like you guys so this intake is not going to be a high-rpm only design. It'll have a nice even power delivery all the way through the rev range.
How much interest is there among Fx50 drivers for a 5.4L intake that you guys could use. It'll be cast aluminum and work best on motors that have high performance aftermarket cams and/or cylinder head porting done. This is not really intended for bone stock motors.
It should be similar in design to the Hardball'r HPS already makes for the 4.6 but with several refinements for 5.4 use.

but there is potential to be interested right? plz send bob a note to that effect. He's got to get it built to get it on the dyno. To get it built takes money which he has to show a potential market to keep spending.
i agree and like the other 2 valve 5.4 performance intakes I just don't ever see this one making production you may talk a good talk lets see it made and on a real world street driven 2 valve 5.4

its cheaper to buy the adapter plates or get a lightning lower intake and put a plate on top of it then attach a plenum

Built54: it's being made right now so I don't know what more you want... the design process is still progressing but the basic pattern is already done.
Faster150: Lightning lowers with plates have no runner length to speak of and give up all kinds of tq. Possibly the worst redneck intake ever made. All of the setups I've seen based on that pattern suck for NA period. The HPS model should eliminate much of the low end loss and stretch the power band quite a bit over the stock truck or mustang PI intakes. If you have no faith... cool. At least keep an open mind. Oh yeah, and the price point should be <800 bucks out of the gate. It's cast, not welded so it's cheaper to produce. It's worth it to anyone that wants to run a blower or nitrous or cams or ported heads or any number of other mods.
Tarajerame: Real world street driven 5.4's do a lot of different things for a lot for a lot of different people. It seems you forgot that. This may not solve YOUR problem but it will allow a lot of people to yank a lot more power from their 5.4. I've never seen anyone come out and say flatly that they're making a 5.4 intake. I've seen companies say they're looking at it but HPS called me and said they're gunna make it and they're gunna sell it.
I was trying to be nice and let you guys know what's up. I've been working on getting HPS to make this intake for over 2 years. If all you have is poo-poo for the news then I'll stop bugging you. Thought you guys might actually be interested in making more power to the ground. God knows they can use it.

Get the numbers - It's complete waste of everyone's time at this point.
I wouldn't attempt doing what your trying to without spread sheet. If you or whoever had what it takes to make a worthwhile intake , then it seams like you would have the brains to know that can't come to site like this boasting about something you can't prove to be a beneficial product for these modulars - not now or in the future.
This is bad soliciting, no way around it.
If your serious and legit , YOU put the money out to build 1,2 or 3 , YOU put the money out for dyno logging/testing . Then you come back with verifiable proof - reliable data..
Takes money to make money.

Yeah I want to see numbers, it may look 100% powerful and awesome, but how do you know its worth anything yet? I'm not saying your stupid or anything like that, I just want proof, and some dyno charts.
It's just harder to see thru the manipulation when they have some smarts.
Someone smart enough to suck in the good hard working folks who can be a little gullible at times when they simply want to believe such a product exists.
Usually you won't see this without some sort of bullsh^t backing it up. Example - Throttle body spacers. Throttle body spacers do have a good use. There excellent for throwing a few ports in there and running nitrous. They work for that application .
There's not a hot enough market for that to make any money, they had to cookup some cornball story to suck in the average joe. Yea, just throw that thing in behind the throttle body and you won't be able to keep the front end on the ground.
What a joke - But Hey !! it worked!! AND , you don't even have to like it at this point, it's already served it's purpose. I have to say - Damn good marketing - they made a pile of money and it has slowed down much..
If this guys on the level , then it's to bad so many ahead of him has made tougher to get a start . If he is indeed, on the level, then it's not just his loose ,it's ours if he doesn't end up getting off the ground.

well i guess JLP didnt know what he was doing when he designed the sheet metal plenum that bolted to a plate on the stock lightning intake manifold
I think it would be cool but i don't see enough people buying them for a market either.I would love one but by the time you figure getting a new Tune and The Intake itself that's alot of money!!Hell if you have a decent amount of other bolt ons and the intake actually makes decent power!!You will then be over the 300-310HP at which you need to upgrade to 24lb injectors and a 190lph fuel pump=more$$$
For me if i was to go through all that i would just buy a used lightning supercharger!!Good luck on it though and how about those numbers????
