I don't see it making anywhere near that much though!!!
We need numbers on a stock vehicle or stock with a tune!!

I'm very interested in this new 5.4 intak manifold. Please post pics and dyno data when available.
Thanks.

Thought you guys might actually be interested in making more power to the ground. God knows they can use it.

I'm with Jbrew on this one. Don't expect everyone to be knocking down your door with cash in hand without any proof of the product being worth it.
If that's the case, I'm a millionare.
Check it out!
Everyone seems to be bashing r3dn3ck for posting this saying not to expect people to give them their money without numbers. Well if i read the post correctly, he hasnt asked anyone for anything besides questioning their interest. He isnt saying that your going to gain 100hp and 10mpg. He is saying its in design right now and is curious if anyone is interested. Once the design process is done and they have one made im sure there will be numbers for everyone to gander at. If they arent able to make anything special out of it maybe they will scrap it, who knows. Id possibly be interested but its not for my truck.
It is always hard to begin marketing anything due to the skeptic nature of people.
If it is given away for free, people come out of the woodwork wanting one.
Yet look at the intake spacers that swerl the air and make big power gains as clained by marketing. It's so stupid but big names like Jeg's and Summit market them just for a sale and a profit. The mentality is that if a well know company markets something it must be good. WRONG!
You still have to use common sense.
I just got off the phone with one and questioned them about spark plugs as advertised in their catalog being resistor type. Had them look in mfger book and they found out their catalog is wrong.
YOU, have a responsibility to use common sense and know at least some physics behind a product before you buy or see enough verifyable evidence.
IMO a different intake manifold on these trucks, for normal non performance use, is not going to make any large gains anymore than expensive air filter systems and exhaust changes have done, for what iresults have been obtained vs the cost.

Also, why would they put an effort in any sort of design if they didn't think there was a viable market? I would think looking at the aftermarket for the Mustang and that there are millions of F150's with the 5.4L out there one can make the assumption that there is very much a market out there.
My point is give me something to be interested in, preferably facts.
intake manifold adapter plates are still cheaper than the instake there trying to market. so its better just to get a mustang GT intake and get the intake plates it would cost half as much! and im pretty sure u would see the same gains
jbrew, dude.. take the feather out of your butt...it's tickling the shiat out of you. I have solicited exactly 1 thing from you ... a simple email saying that you find the concept interesting. If that's too much for you to manage, then go away and bug someone else.
Now, I'll say it again cuz like 4 of you can't read the first 2 times: I've promised exactly nothing but that the intake is currently being developed and that it will be made. The thing will be cast from aluminum to save cost and that's how it makes the price point. The truck market is secondary to this as the mustang market is fuggin huge with 5.4 swappers and growing every day. I personally thought that truck guys might want to hear about it and I made requests of HPS to make it easier for truck owners to swap (no harness changes, etc...) because I'm a thoughtful and considerate person.
Built54, bluegrass, rdhammer, Neal: if you guys are interested enough that you want me to keep you updated in this forum then let me know and I will. Otherwise, feel free to keep updated at my thread to mustangboards.com in the 4.6L tech section. There's a 5.4 swap sticky at the top. It's constantly updated with new project pics and dyno numbers from various 5.4 powered cars.
BTW... the turbo intake from JLP, yeah way to go there smart guy. Show me a FI intake that will have exactly the problem I mentioned on a NA motor. Pay attention mcfly...there's gunna be a test.
I don't work for HPS, I'm not a partner...I'm a customer. I was being cool by telling y'all about this. Next time I think I'm going to keep it to the mustang community where people aren't diks all the time (those of you that have been cool were obvious about it, so you're not included in the meat pole category).

HI!... Keep me updated too. Currently I'm steering towards the EDELBROCK cast aluminum intake manifold and the 4.6 - 5.4 intake spacers. Spacers are about $375. Summit Racing sells the EDELBROCK intake manifold for about $250. So if this new intake manifold for the 5.4 will be $600 or less I'd be interested.
