I found your engine stand - It's under the hood on top of your front axle..
lol yeah now i gotta figure out how im getting it out of the back of the truck. i use to hear there was a hook but i dont see it. so that means off comes the intake correct?
i heard that back in 98 when i had a family friend having problems with his 98 f150 4.6 lol

HI!... It's a good idea to remove the intake manifold anyway. It's almost impossible to get a 5.4 in a F-150 with the intake manifold on due to the wiper cowl sticking out above the firewall. Unless you have a 3" or more body lift, then it is possible. Plus it makes it easier to get to the 2 top bellhousing bolts when bolting the tranny back on. You can get to those bolts from above instead of underneeth.

All of that applies to the 4.6 too BTW. It's _possible_ to get the 4.6 out without pulling off the intake, but that's nothing you even want to attempt.
HAHA - Last motor I did was 3 years ago , It was a 3.8? - I think. It was a ford mini-van- not the Aero star , the other one.. can't remeber what there even called lol
I had to lift the van and drop it out the bottom.
The old motor had only 60,000 on it . The woman admitted she never changed the oil -NEVER. I pulled the filter and was completly dry. So I thought the pump failed at first. I droped the pan to take a look-see and maannn, the pickup screen had a 1/4 inch of crud on it
- blocked solid!!
This Woman ...sheeesh.

Yeah, that's how you do most FWD's, drop the k-frame.

It wasn't bad it went well no probs , wait I did have one prob . I had a bad trouble light I was using and it grounded while I had it hooked to the frame - found out later the TRS was fried it didn't shift. It had reverse and first gears but that's it - Figured I surged the hell out of it. . I had the light hanging close to it when it gave me a high voice. Other than that it went easy.

The first time the TRS took a s^^t was on I-40, 500 miles from home, in the middle of BFE, and I was doing 75mph when it shifted into 1st. I was SOOO SURPRISED the motor didn't shell! I was like "WTF?!? It's still running AND it's in one piece?!? Holy s^^t!!!!". That little POS 3.8 probably hit 10k rpm.
That van was such a pile of f^^king s^^t. Worst vehicle I ever owned by far!
In fact, if you GAVE me a brand new one, I would light that f^^ker on fire before I sat down in one of those f^^kers again.

That sensor failed often enough that I kept a spare in the glove-box, along with a flashlight, and all the tools needed to change it, so that when it failed the next time, in the middle of nowhere, I could just crawl under there and swap it out.

Well lol, Glad I brought it up - feel better now
I never owned one - I leased a SAFARI once for a couple of years only because they had a no - interest deal goin on. No problems with it , but I only had it for 2 years and it didn't get that many miles - That was mama's ride way back then - in 2000 I believe - it was more less her decision and what she wanted. We could cram 8 people in that thing tho lol
Where did you get the smily on the sh^ter ?
Our Lincoln Gigantic gators only seat 7. You'd think that, just by the size, it would hold more people than the minivans, but they don't. But the minivans can't tow close to 9,000lbs or go 4x4 off-roading through jeep trails in the Rocky's either!
