All it is is an F150 with the same power train, some suspension mods, cladding, face, and some interior betterments.

It's not like the gator which has far more extensive modifications to its Expy foundation. My 06 4x4 lux was over 50k.

It's a Powerdyne. Even saying the word "Powerdyne" is a sin in the eyes of the horsepower god.

Seriously though, if you're going to pony up the coin for an SC, get one that you can grow with. Get an ATI, a Vortech, KB, etc. Sure, it's more money, but they have a MUCH MUCH MUCH better head than that belt-driven POS, and if you ever want to do a little more with it later, you can. Plus, it's never wise to spend money on something now that you know you will be unhappy with later.

Read the reviews..... http://www.carreview.com/cat/parts/f...6_2877crx.aspx

The people who know anything about anything hate them, the people who couldn't find their a$$hole with a road-map love them.

Quotes from actual owner reviews.....

Powerdyne is a fraudulent merchant. Beware, their product does not meet their claims, nor does it meet any warrantee of use or purpose.

Horrible customer service. Powerdyne just simply doesn't give a d##$ about their reputation, product, service, or self respect.

I've removed the 6 psi unit, and am selling it to whomever comes up with a reasonable offer.

the price, the power gained were not worth the money paid for the kit.

the tech dept. also told me i would see a gain of 70hp, i did see a gain but not 70hp more like 50hp. i could of go more power for a lot less money and agravation(trying to figure out the instalation of the kit with the terrible instruction manual, chaseing down a belt that would fit, about 10 trips to local auto parts store)

I confirmed that the internal drive belt was broken. Returned it to Powerdyne going on 3 months ago, and still waiting. What good is a 3 year warranty if it takes a half a year to make repairs?

Don't waste your money!!! I wish someone had convinced me of this BEFORE I spent the cash. Had I known, I would have spent a bit extra on a Vortech or Procharger.

Cons: reliability, longevity, customer service. The real issues are the BEARINGS which they need to resolve. Until then, these things are going to just keep coming apart.

I am held hostage by Pwerdyne. $3800 is alot of money to just throw away and they won't help me recover it.

I'm stuck. With a BAD product and WORSE service. A downward spiral of wasted money and frustration.

My advice to them was to NEVER recommend one of these things

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS JUNK !!! Powerdyne owner...PLEASE FIRE YOUR STAFF OR PUT A BOOT IN THEIR A** AND INFORM THEM THAT GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE ACTUALLY BRINGS IN CUSTOMERS.

customer service is terrible, the directions are terrible, the warranty work is terrible, the parts they use are terrible

I think powerdyne is is focused on using parts that fail in a given amount of time so they can make money by doing repairs, then not fix it right so it can be done all over again. When they charge you I think it's $100 just to take it apart and look at it! I took mine apart in 30 minutes in my living room while watching tv!

Cheap initial cost, but expect many problems over a gear driven blower. Blower has been rebuilt 4 times now and usually lasts 3-6k miles each time. Vortech and ATI are better quality units with better reliability and warrantees.

Terrible customer service. Sent letter to BBB.

Cons: Where to begin??? Low boost levels. Cog belt needs replacing every 50,000 miles. Bearings suck. Not adjustable for altitude. CAN NOT be upgraded. ONLY Powerdyne can repair it so you have to pay an arm and a leg for shipping and there is no sense of urgency in their turn around time. Intercooling can result in even lower boost levels.

Strengths:
It looks cool

Weaknesses:
to many to list

about 4 miles the internal belt broke. he sent it back powerdyne couldn't tell how it broke. they sent it back with a new belt. worked for 4 miles again broke. sent it back and they sent a new head unit, this one worked for 2 days about 200 miles and the belt broke. the company then upgraded him to the xb-1a we installed it drove it slow for 7 miles then it sounded quieter than before, he hit 8lbs of boost half throttle and let off and the bearing started sqeeling loud we had to take belt off when we took it off the impellar was really bent up bad and the housing was scraped all of the way around we then sent it back again

Actually I had the Pro-Charger I bought it off eBay last year , never used it - I sold it and was going to get that monster box trans instead , but didn't because I think I just need a converter - It still slips/shudders a little from the hole only after an 80mph run on the e-way. Only then - taking off at the exit after when the trans is the hottest.

I read that the powdyne had bearing probs , but that was the earlier ones and now the probs have been resolved. I 'll read the link you gave me.

Weaknesses:
CUSTOMER SERVICE! CUSTOMER SERVICE! CUSTOMER SERVICE! CUSTOMER SERVICE! CUSTOMER SERVICE! CUSTOMER SERVICE!
and the instruction suck.

called customer service and they were not really any help in fact they treated me like I didn’t know anything.

Weaknesses:
Customer service, everybody i talk to has an attitude, durability

I thought i was crazy with the costomer service at powerdyne by far the worst i have ever delt with. on my super charger the barings went bad, the belt went and the impeller sprocket went bad. Now there trying to say i changed the pulley size which i didn't so there saying the warrenty is void and charging me $668.00 to fix it.

Very bad instructions, no parts list, poor quality control (bolts that did'nt fit properly, wrong pulleys w/ kit), had to modify "bolt on" stuff. Also, discharge tube's supplied silicone connecting tubes are too short and pop off at high boost sometimes.

Worst customer service I have seen, and the quality of the unit is not what I would expect. I'd heard the stories while I was shopping around, but didn't listen.

I have left over a half-dozen messages with Powerdyne, and not one call has been returned.

Worst customer service I have seen, and the quality of the unit is not what I would expect. I'd heard the stories while I was shopping around, but didn't listen.

took seven weeks to get the unit to Arkansas. Bad instructions and parts for install

Bad instructions, obviously who ever wrote them didn't actually install one! not so good fitment, modification is a must and anoying.

Waiting period for rebuild.. customer service is lacking.. price for rebuilds.. etc.. The unit is a bit pricey..

CUSTOMER SERVICE.....you can tell they didn't write the book on successful customer service techniques. Quality control....can't believe a repaired unit leaves the repair line and it still has a problem.

this product is cheap nasty and only gave an extra 11bhp and that was after an official rolling road test wich i have done every time i add new pieces to my car DO NOT BUY FROM THESE THIEFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Weaknesses:
ALL

Strengths:
Cheap blowers, full of bull customer service,no 1-800 # ,small hole in the wall company .Poor BBB rating ,and that's the good side .Got a few more pages?

Weaknesses:
Lots ,too many to list .Run from these Bozos. Just ask around ,there are plenty unhappy customers who were shafted by these people . Look for A BK in the next few years ,a company like this should not be in business!

Holy Crap!! The stuff I was reading before was stuff from 98nav and another guy from here who has them .

Yeah the reveiew you posted was the first on that link you gave me - 50 hp ?

No wonder it's so cheap !! No wonder the guy selling it only put 2000 miles on it before he got bored with it. I should have kept the pro charger.

Save your money for real proven performance .Powerdyne is Junk.Joke company ,no parts list,no 800 #,shady reputation ,and a lousy performing blower! What more could you want?
Don't buy this garbage!Remember cheaper is not better ,just cheaper!

Strengths:
cheap price,cheap blower.

Weaknesses:
Oh where do I start.Pay $2500 for 20hp
Trust me run from this junk!

Strengths:
NONE REALLY. IT HAS A NICE THICK MOUNTING PLATE THOUGH.

Weaknesses:
EVERYTHING

sucks broke internal belt 4 times the first year. then they did a free upgrade to bd11a oh boy that helped. belt lasted 4000 miles

Strengths:
none at all

Weaknesses:
internal belt. this is a piece of junk buy any other gear driven blower first.

Apparantly powerdyne uses inferior bearings. Mine fragged and chewed up the internal drive gears and belt. Powerdyne wants around $800 to fix the head unit.

Strengths:
good marketing dept., touting the ease of installation and patented technology...suckers you right in...

Weaknesses:
rotten instructions,missing parts.
poor QC, questionable engineering of various components.

The peoplw at powerdyne are absolutely useless! The powerdyne (mine) gets major belt slippage, and I am on my third belt in a couple of weeks.

Terrible.Major fuel problems as the instructions are very hard to make out and i cut the fuel return line.Upgraded to a 9psi pulley and there was no increase at all on the Autometer boost gauge. And to put that pulley on and to get the stock one off was a nightmare. Then it broke the bearing inside, spent 300plus to get it fixed and told the guy to put on the 11psi (the warrantee is over after 1 year) the boost gauge only read a max of 8psi with the 11psi pulley.Countless hours spent getting the pulley straight.

The powerdyne blower is nothing compared to a Vortech, Paxton, or ProCharger. Spend the extra money and go with the good stuff.Learn from our mistake!!

They wont sell me a new belt and bearings. I've tried several times to buy parts for it. I always get the same answer: "We don't sell internal parts." They wanted me to send it to them and let them fix it for $400+. No thanks, I'm still pissed that it broke so soon, why would I send them more money?
